Why does she always make everything between us get intensified for no reason, but I had to plead with her to allow this work.

"Please, Valerie, just say yes, I'll stay as far away from you as possible," I assured her, backing it up with a plea.

She still insisted on standing on her negative response. I felt frustrated with her behavior but I remained calm.

Then I asked the receptionist, "Is there any alternative available?"
