Jennifer's Request.

Alexander was already in his office. Jennifer had returned home, driven by one of his company's drivers. Alexander decided to unblock Auntie Ruby's number. After more than a week without hearing from the woman who had been a surrogate mother to him, Alexander felt a longing and wanted to know how she was doing.

The call connected.

"Hello," Auntie Ruby greeted from the other end of the phone.

"Hello, Auntie, how are you? Sorry for taking so long to contact you," Alexander said, sounding awkward.

"I thought you had forgotten about me," replied the woman on the other end, her voice not friendly and somewhat distant....
