31. Conversation Between Two Women

Alexander had left for work. Jennifer looked around, searching for her phone. She feared Alexander had hidden the only thing she could use to communicate. Jennifer smiled in relief upon seeing the sleek and sophisticated device. She reached for her phone on the nightstand and immediately contacted Brandon.

On the first call, Brandon didn't answer. Jennifer tried again. Luckily, on the second call, Brandon picked up the phone.
