Outside the building, heavy rain poured. The clock on Emily's wrist showed six o'clock in the evening, indicating that most employees had already left.

However, this wasn't the case for Emily. She found herself alone in her office with Brandon. Emily turned to look at her boss.

"Aren't you going home?" Brandon asked reflexively, looking in Emily's direction, and their gazes met.

"Just a moment," Emily replied. "Isn't your father going home?" She countered with her question.

"In a while," he answered.

The atmosphere fell silent again. Emily stood up from her chair and walked to the window, observing the view from her current vantage point.
