Morning had come.

The married couple, Alexander and Jennifer, had woken up but were reluctant to get out of bed. Jennifer leaned against her husband's chest, hearing his heartbeat.

"I want to know what our marriage means to you, my dear," Jennifer initiated a conversation. Until this moment, despite Alexander's mistreatment, Jennifer still had deep and immense feelings of love, just as when they were not yet married, before Alexander revealed his true nature.
