El Barack and Alexander were sitting together. Jennifer had already gone to bed that night, as had Emily, who had retired to her room earlier.

"Thank you, El Barack. Thanks to you, the Queen Hotel launching event was a great success!" Alexander expressed his gratitude.

"You're welcome," replied El Barack flatly. There was no enthusiasm in his response at all.

"Why do you seem so indifferent?" Alexander inquired, furrowing his brow. There was not a hint of a smile on El Barack's lips.
