Chapter 5....Delaney's heart pounds, that is the only thing she could hear in Cade's office, his office was quiet and calm, and he kept staring at her while she focuses her gaze on the floor.

“I'm sorry,” she whispers, not able to keep her eyes from glancing back up at him when he finally spoke.

“Sorry about what?” Made scoffed.

Delaney would do anything to keep this Job, their pay is good, and she doesn't want Cade to fire her because of what she did earlier.

“For… spilling the coffee on you, she admitted her mistake.

“The coffee was hot, and it burned my skin, cade Said, Delaney's eyes widen, this is it, she was done for.

“Cade shook his head, “No, no, don't look so scared. You can redeem yourself you know, Cade said standing up and walking to the front of his desk and sitting on it with his legs crossed.

Delaney wonders what he meant by redeeming herself, she raised her head and stare at him in disbelief, does he want to have sex with her in other to keep her job, she can never do that?

She knows she said she can do anything to keep the job, but sex is exceptional.

“Redeem me, I don't get it.” She says softly, Cade sighs.

“You will when you learn to read between the lines,” He said, Delaney looked at him confused.

“What are you trying to tell me, Delaney asked said.

“You will have to choose between these two options, Cade said, Delaney waited for him to give his options.

“Firstly, you will have to do anything, I mean anything I ask you to do, without complaining, Cade paused to see her reaction, Delaney gulped and waited for his second option.

Cade stood up from his desk and sat on his seat, he leaned his back

against the wall and placed his hands behind his head and stared at Delaney,

“The second option is you are fired, Cade said as Delaney's eyes widen.

“This is your choice, either you do what I asked you to do without complaining, or you go.” Delaney gulped again.

“I will do anything you ask for me, I swear,” Delaney said. Cade chuckles.

“Good because if you don't” Cade started and smirked. “You'll be in big trouble.” He finished.

Cade lay down on his king-size bed, staring up at the ceiling. He wanted to sleep, but he just couldn’t find it in himself to close his eyes.

The events that led him to this point still haunted him. Why can't he get his mind off the unknown lady he raped that night?

Cade knew that wherever she is now, she would hate him and probably curse him. He didn’t even know anything about her, not even her face.

He just knows that if he were ever to see her again, it would be a lifetime before they will ever look each other in the eyes.

Cade rolled over onto his side, his back facing the door.

Hadn't Fabiana called off the engagement, he wouldn't be so down and drank himself to a stupor and raped that unknown lady.

The only thing Cade could focus on was how badly he wants to see her, just for one second, maybe even speak to her.

Cade let out a sigh as he closed his eyes.

He kept hearing her pleas and cries, they kept ringing in his ears. His hands slowly went towards his pants pockets.

His fingers gently grazed across the ring box that he kept hidden there.

Cade opened the box and stared at the diamond ring. It seemed to shine under the dim lighting of his room.

The memory of when Fabiana wore the ring, made Cade smile. It reminded him of all their past together.

He remembered how Fabiana looked every day, happy and happy with him. She always had this warm aura around her, and Cade loved seeing her like that.

But it was all fake, she was after his money not love, the day she calls of the engagement had been a mystery to him.

He felt bad that he had to pour out all his pains to a total stranger, why will he have to do such a horrendous thing to the stranger?

Cade closed the box and put it away.

For the next few hours, Cade continued to lay on his bed, trying to fall asleep. He tossed around and finally falls asleep.

“Oh my gosh Delaney, Susanna cried out.

“I'm going to get fired for going to work late, Delaney yelled from upstairs.

“I know right, I've heard about people who got sacked the same week of their resumption, Susanna said….

Delaney got down the stairs holding one of her babies, breastfeeding him.

“That's not funny at all, Delaney said angrily at Susanna, who just chuckled.

After a few minutes, she was done breastfeeding him and set to go to work.

“I forgot to tell you, Delaney, we got a flat tire, you will have to take a cabby to work today, Susanna said.

“We had a flat tire, and you didn't inform me earlier, Delaney open her mouth in shock, today was not her day.

“I'm sorry I forgot to inform you earlier, Susanna pleaded.

The main road is busy as bees, and all the vehicles are filled with passengers, Delaney checks her wristwatch for the umpteenth time.

It's past 9, and she is still looking for a vehicle, she had been busy with her triplets, breastfeeding them, and extracting breast milk for them.

It's not been easy for her, she hated whoever their father is for putting her through all this.

The one thing she never regrets is giving birth to her babies.

Suddenly, a car came at full speed and halted directly in front of Delaney, raising the dust, Delaney got angry at whoever it is that was inside the car.

The windshield is tinted black, so she couldn't see who was inside.

She got angry and started tapping on the car bonnet angrily.

“Get out from this cat right now, you moron, Delaney yelled angrily.

“Who the hell are you, you stupid fool, she cursed, she was already angry from the start, and whoever is inside the car added to her anger.

The windshield slides down from the back, revealing an emotionless Cade.

He looks cute in a white tuxedo, his blue eyes were cold and his lips thin.

Delaney immediately stopped glaring at him and gulped hard, she was in shock, and her eyes widen at the realization of all the insults she laid on him, he was going to be angry.

“Oh fuck, she thought.

“Mr. Rafael… I-”Delaney started, but he cuts her off harshly.

His voice deep and cold, he looks at Delaney with no emotion on his face

“Is this how you go about insulting people, Delaney? Do you even know your words can harm someone?

“No! No, it isn't what you think, I didn't mean to, I never knew you were the one, I'm sorry, She begged trying to defend herself.

“Oh really?” He asks mockingly.

“Yes Mr. Rafael, believe me

“I don't think I can have such an employee in my company, Cade spoke out as Delaney's heart pounds.
