With tears in her eyes, she tried to wipe them off so I wouldn't notice, but I already knew. She sat quietly with her head resting on the car window —she looked out at the view of the city as they swiped by with speed.

And suddenly, she released a heavy sigh —I sped up the car so we could reach home on time and help her get some rest.

By the time we got home, she was already dozing off. I carried her from the car, and she pulled into my embrace even more. I laid her on the couch, removed her heels, and started massaging her...
