Olivia felt disgusted, scared, and anxious all at the same time. She cursed herself for agreeing too easily to something without finding out first. But now that everything had happened, she just needed to accept reality. That she is now the wife of Zayden, a handsome werewolf who is very rich.
“Do you regret it now—after finding out that I'm not an ordinary human?” Zayden approached him who was still curled up on the bed. His strong hand touched her beautiful face that looked scared, “You are mine, you agreed to it from the start. Don't be too upset, even though I am a werewolf, I really care about you.”
Olivia felt her lips tremble, clear droplets fell onto her pale face, "Zayden, I need time. I will never betray our agreement. I just need to make peace with my heart which still thinks this is all a dream."
"You don't need to worry, I always prioritize your comfort because you are my woman."
The woman stared at Zayden's back until she disappeared behind the door. Then she felt all over her body, traces of Zayden's fondling. Her cheeks became soaked, as she failed to stop the flow that was getting heavier.
A second later she realized. Her mind tried to forgive her own carelessness because of the urgent situation. Olivia felt bad for Zayden for his attitude. Then, she looked for her husband's whereabouts to apologize. Even though she wasn't a real human, Zayden treated her very well.
Olivia looked around the room. She remembered something, "Oops, the kitchen!" She rushed to the kitchen which was left in a mess and had not yet finished cooking. Now her stomach feels a little sore because she hasn't eaten anything.
“Sit down! I've prepared everything, you must be hungry now.” Zayden pulled up a chair, looking at Olivia meaningfully. The fried chicken is ready along with french fries and beef steak with barbecue sauce. “A special dish for the most beautiful woman.” Zayden rolled his eyes.
“B–but… earlier, I–”
"I will accompany you," said Zayden kindly.
Olivia still couldn't believe what she was seeing. Zayden can always guess what's on her mind. How could he know that Olivia really wanted to cook all the dishes that were now served on the table? He was magical, Olivia thought.
"Are you complimenting me now?" Zayden deliberately teases Olivia.
“I... Eng, did you hear that?”
Zayden just smiled when he heard the words from his wife's luscious lips.
“Eat it, I'm glad you like it.”
At first, Olivia was hesitant, but she tried. Who would have thought that her husband's cooking taste was so perfect? Once again he was amazed by everything regarding Zayden.
“No need to be surprised. It's normal, I told you that I would definitely make you happy." Zayden stared at Olivia, making her feel embarrassed.
Olivia swallowed her saliva. She forgot his intention to apologize to Zayden. It was as if Zayden didn't give her a chance. She continues to be surprised by the good things Zayden does for her own happiness. Olivia felt increasingly guilty. Her face was gloomy, she didn't dare look at Zayden.
However, after thinking hard. In the end, Olivia made up her mind to apologize at night. According to her, it was perfect. After that, they can express what's in each other's hearts. So that this marriage goes well.
Olivia smiled faintly, she imagined that their days would be filled with love.
“Are you smiling?” The handsome man did the same thing, he was proud to have succeeded in making his woman happy.
“I can accept you even if you are a werewolf.”
"That fast, you said it took time." Zayden scratched his head which didn't itch, "Look... I won't force you. Don't feel too burdened. I want you to be truly sincere, not out of fear."
"I'm serious. I can accept it all, in my opinion, werewolves are just your kind. In fact, you are just like other people, warm and pleasant."
Zayden grinned, his pupils dilated, “Warm and pleasant…”
Inside his head, he was very intimidated by his wife's praise. Olivia just doesn't know how cold and dangerous Zayden is. That innocent woman always followed her intuition without learning the truth.
"Until tonight, I'll try to get home quickly." Zayden frowned at Olivia's forehead before leaving.
Several burly men in black suits lined up neatly, following behind him. Olivia chuckled in amazement. Her life is now like a dream. Everything went fast, full of magic like in a fairy tale.
The house became quiet. Olivia stared far out the window from her bedroom balcony. Twilight seemed to beckon the night to come soon. The woman glanced at the wall clock, occasionally glancing at the towering iron fence. Hoping that her husband would appear so that the quiet would leave soon.
Her beautiful face lit up when she saw the group of bodyguards enter the yard. Of course, Zayden is also with them. But he was disappointed when there was no one he was looking for. Where is Zayden, even though he promised to come home sooner?
"Are you disappointed that I'm late?" Zayden embraced her tiny body from behind, pushing back several strands of her long hair that were blowing in the night breeze.
"I'm just worried, worried that something happened to you." Olivia tightened Zayden's strong arms around her slender waist even more.
Meanwhile, Zayden continued to kiss her long neck. The unique scent on Olivia's body made Zayden's hunter instincts almost uncontrollable. He sniffed it so clearly that Olivia felt scared again.
"Is he going to eat me?" So thought Olivia, trying to hide her hands which were starting to shake.
“Sorry–I should have known better. I scared you again.” He pushed Olivia's body to keep her distance from him.
“Your breathing sounds like a wild animal, Zayden. I mean-"
“Well, that's me. The beast you mean" grumbled Zayden, he turned his face away from Olivia. “I am indeed a wolf.”
Olivia approached, she was very sorry for hurting Zayden's feelings. Why did he make a big deal out of it? It was just a breath, a Zayden couldn't possibly eat it. His attitude was sincere, he seemed to love Olivia.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have behaved like that."
“You can't lie. Obviously, I saw you were scared.”
Zayden left, leaving Olivia standing still looking at him. He entered his private room. Meanwhile, his wife only regretted her actions. He thought he had made another mistake, even though Zayden had been very good to her. She cried again silently. Even though she knew, it didn't change anything.
Until almost midnight, Olivia couldn't close her eyes. She still thinks about Zayden.
"It can't be like this, I have to do something," she muttered.
Olivia came out of her room, she looked for her husband throughout the rooms in the house which was more like a castle. There was no one he could find to ask about Zayden's whereabouts. Silence creates an eerie atmosphere. The full moon looks perfectly round.
"Beautiful," she muttered again.
As she was about to continue walking, the sound of a wolf howling made Olivia shudder in horror. She felt her fear again. Various things were mixed up in her head.
Someone held her arm, “Master Zayden will be back soon. I was ordered to keep you in the room until he arrived." The woman led Olivia to her own room. "Don't wander around in the middle of a full moon night, it's too dangerous for a holy woman like you." She glanced sarcastically at Olivia who was still silent, "I'm just conveying a message from Mr. Zayden."
“You may go now.”
“I dare not ignore Master Zayden's orders.”
“Don't worry, I won't cause you any trouble.”
“I beg you, Miss.” The woman in front of Olivia put her hands together in front of her chest looking desperate.
Olivia looked away. She walked back and forth worried about Zayden. She once read the story of a werewolf. They often carry out dangerous hunts. Because they are a group of hunters.
“Will Zayden be okay?” Olivia started to get angry, she bit her nails. "Where is he going?"
“Master Zayden will definitely return safely. Their clans are the 5 strongest. Miss, you don't need to worry."
If it's true what the woman said that the Zayden clan is the strongest, is it Lycan, Avalon, or Thunder? Olivia didn't know anything about werewolves. However, she had read several books that chronicled their lives.
Time has slipped from midnight. The woman Zayden sent to look after Olivia fell asleep. Olivia took advantage of this situation to sneak out of the room. She had to find out more about her husband. However, Olivia believes that one day, Zayden could lose his human instincts under certain conditions. Olivia has to be prepared, maybe Zayden or another werewolf will endanger her life.
“Where exactly is Zayden's secret room?” she asked herself as she explored each room.
Without realizing it, Olivia is now in a place she shouldn't have been without Zayden. Olivia didn't know that this spacious, castle-like house had a place that couldn't be reached by her husband's clan's security system. Never mind Olivia, even the werewolf race itself must have sufficient strength when in that place.
“Zayden... is that you?” Olivia saw a black shadow flash across one side of the building. When she didn't hear an answer, she convinced herself that it was indeed her husband, because previously Zayden had often surprised her. “Zaay–den… don't scare me, this isn't funny at all.”
The black shadow flew around Olivia's body. The bitter aroma that wafted made the woman realize that the mysterious figure was not her husband. Zayden's distinctive sweet aroma is very easy to recognize. Of the pack of werewolves he met at the house, only Zayden had one. However, his followers also don't smell rancid like this.
Olivia tries to communicate with Zayden through her mind. So far, Zayden has always heard it, even though Olivia's words were only spoken in his heart or mind.
“Zayden...help me!” she groaned in her inner panic.
Suddenly another shadow appeared. They struggled to attack each other, and Olivia knew that one of them was Zayden.
“Miss Olivia!!!” shouted the woman who had been assigned to look after Olivia.
The woman pulled Olivia's arm to move her to the edge, avoiding the fight between the two creatures. After mobilizing his strength, Zayden managed to repel his enemy. Then he ran, hugging Olivia who looked very shocked.
"Sir... it wasn't me who--"
"I know. Go! I have something to talk to my wife about.”
