“Zayden couldn't possibly have evil intentions towards me.” Olivia's mind had almost gone insane since hearing the stranger's words.
Her heart began to be attacked by doubts, but Olivia still had a reason to get home immediately. There was something she had to ask her mother. Maybe the woman who gave birth to her knew something. Or–her mother could just keep quiet. It seemed Olivia had to find out for herself what the stranger's words meant.
"Oh, Olivia... mom is waiting for you."
"Since when have you been sick?"
“After you went to your husband's house, the old man made me pay for everything.”
"Did he molest, Mom?" Olivia checked her mother's entire body. “This bruise, what did it do?”
The woman nodded. Olivia felt very angry. She wanted to go to the old man.
"Wait! You didn't take advantage of it before taking me there, right?” Olivia widened her eyes, staring intently at her mother. "Answer honestly, ma'am!" She shook her mother's weak body. “Tell me the truth, now!”
As usual, every time she was pressed after making a mistake, the woman just remained silent. Olivia already knows her mother's behavior very well. All this time, only her father cared. Even Olivia wasn't sure about the debt they said belonged to her father. Because her mother often spent money on gambling.
"Then I won't come again, live whatever you want, Mom."
The middle-aged woman got out of bed, she crawled to block her daughter's steps. "Olivia... I'm sorry, Mom!"
Olivia turned around, "So my guess was correct, you had done it before the wedding took place. No wonder the old man insisted on making me his bride. Apparently, you is behind all the ridiculousness."
“Please me, Olivia! I has to pay it back because you didn't marry him.”
"You doesn't want to stop gambling - she even intends to sell me for personal desires that have no benefit. Don't tell me that father's debts are also the result of lies that mother made to deceive me."
She didn't move, she only showed Olivia a fake cry. However, Olivia no longer trusts her mother. From the woman's body language, Olivia knew that all the accusations were true.
"How much money did you take from the old man?"
The woman who was kneeling on the floor took a payment note and handed it to Olivia. The number written on the piece of paper made Olivia glare. Not a small amount. Too embarrassed to ask Zayden for that amount of money. However, for her husband, the nominal amount was not too big. However, Zayden has just paid off Olivia's father's debts in a no less large amount.
“I can give it,” Olivia said. She stared hatefully at her mother. "Not free. I wanted something interchangeable. Business is still business. You also never thought about my feelings when I took the money."
“What do you want, Olivia? There are no valuables in this house.”
“It's not an item, it's actually more valuable than diamonds. If you promises to give it, then I will work on the money. I'll even give you more."
Her mother frowned, her forehead was starting to wrinkle, she didn't understand the meaning of her daughter's words. Even so, the woman didn't ask many questions. So that Olivia doesn't get even angrier.
“How–Do you agree to my offer?”
"Yes, I agree."
"Good. Now, please tell us about our family from when Mom first met Dad. Until I grew up as a teenager. Because I don't remember it."
“Are you sure, that's all?” The woman in front of Olivia looked confused.
"Of course. And–don't try to make up fake stories to fool me.” Olivia sat on the edge of the rusty bed after helping her mother get up.
Olivia's slender body was a little unsteady, she tried to stay upright. It was as if her energy had been drained. It turns out that her life story is not as she imagined. Something surprising managed to hit her heart and mind.
She couldn't imagine it. Now, she pitied her mother more than herself. Olivia really regrets holding a grudge against the woman who has been fighting for her life.
"I'm sorry, ma'am." She just kept cursing herself.
In the middle of the journey, she could no longer hold back all the intense feelings of turmoil. Her heart collapsed, and then she sat leaning against the wall of the shop, letting the clear drops be obscured by the rain. Her body was soaked, she was shivering, and her lips were starting to turn blue. However, Olivia didn't feel it.
A flash of shadow grabbed the fragile body, "Miss, you shouldn't be outside the house at night, it's very dangerous."
"I–" Olivia couldn't continue her sentence, she was still sobbing without being able to say anything.
"Quickly dry your body, then I will ask the servant to take care of everything before Mr. Zayden comes."
“Thank you, Rudolf.”
The Gamma left Olivia. She rushed to carry out other tasks ordered by Zayden. Meanwhile, before Luna's powers merged with Olivia, all pack members were obliged to look after Zayden's wife. Because, she will become Luna who can make Avalon stronger than other packs, after the birth of an Alpha descendant of Zayden.
“Drink this, Miss!”
"What's this?"
"Potion." The female servant handed her a cup containing a reddish liquid. “As soon as Mr. Zayden comes, you will look fresh. He doesn't need to know your condition beforehand. If not ..."
"So what?"
"He won't let Miss Olivia leave this house even one step."
"What if my mother needs me?" Olivia was very enthusiastic, she hoped that the maid's answer would be quite reassuring.
“There won't be enough reasons to change his decision. Especially when it comes to women." After glancing at Olivia, the woman left.
As Olivia read in a book, an Alpha will be overprotective of his partner. He didn't want Luna to be hurt even by the tip of her fingernail. So, the waiter's words were quite reasonable. Olivia was prepared to act normal as if nothing had happened to her.
After a few minutes, Zayden arrived home. From behind the curtain, Olivia saw him with Beta and Gamma. Olivia hurried to sit in front of her dressing table. She made her face as beautiful as possible to welcome her husband.
"Welcome home, honey." Olivia greeted him warmly, she hoped that this time Zayden wouldn't be able to read what was in her head.
“Are you going to the party?” Zayden asked, he couldn't take his eyes off his wife. "I am very happy to have a woman as beautiful as you."
Olivia clung to Zayden's strong arms, "You flatter me too much. I should feel the luckiest because I was your choice."
Olivia would be wrong if she thought that Zayden didn't know anything about what happened that day. She knows everything. If Rudolf and the maid told Olivia to keep it a secret from Zayden. This was solely intended to make her more careful. Because danger will always threaten her before the power of the moon merges with him.
Zayden doesn't want his wife to get hurt. Luna must always be safe because she is the seed bearer of the strongest Alpha candidate who will lead Avalon to greater heights. Zayden has the ambition to defeat the Lycan and Thunder packs.
"What did you do today?" Zayden baited him while they were together in Olivia's room.
“Um, not much. I just eat, walk around a bit, sleep, then eat again. But now I'm with you."
Zayden smiled, he was proud because Olivia obeyed Rudolf and his servant's words. This means that Olivia is indeed a good woman. Zayden has not been in vain looking after him since he was very young.
“Today must have been very tiring, get some rest! I'm going to my study, I still have things to do."
“It's not me, but you who should rest. I didn't do anything all day. But-"
Zayden put his index finger in front of Olivia's plump lips. Then he left him. Zayden showed his eyes starting to turn golden, he sent an order for all pack members to come to the meeting room. They will hold an emergency meeting.
The werewolves who are members of the Avalon pack have gathered to fill the room. Zayden accompanied by Rudolf and Valko the Beta faced them. It seemed like they were planning something big.
Two red flags are on Zayden's right and left. That means they will be ready to fight. Zayden called for an attack on the Thunder pack due to a fatal mistake made by one of its members. They have twice tried to harm Luna physically and mentally. In fact, according to information obtained by Valko, the Thunder Leader tried to have Olivia as his future Luna before Zayden succeeded in claiming the woman.
“Avalon triumphs!!!” they shouted in unison.
“From today, we will always be ready to fight the Thunder. They have hurt Avalon's pride.” Zayden's eyes were full of anger and revenge.
"What happened?" A pack member in the back row with the lowest caste asked another member next to him.
“Today, Thunder sent someone to poison our Luna's mind. They intend to sway his heart so that he abandons our Leader."
"Didn't we already recognize her as Luna, in fact, she was marked."
"Correct. However, his powers are not yet perfect, apparently, he is a rather slow process because he has not completely thrown away his human instincts. In fact, he still likes human food."
Some people do the same thing. They all gossip about Olivia who comes from the human race. Meanwhile, Olivia felt her heart was uneasy. He looks for someone to bring cake or chocolate to improve his mood. However, he found no one in the entire house.
As a result, she sneaked into her husband's study. She also didn't find anything there. So she started to think that perhaps all the members were gathered in the meeting room. Because Olivia had seen it once.
"Where are they?" Olivia kept trying to remember that place. “I'm sure I know the way, but my memory is hazy.”
Olivia, with a wavering heart, continued down the hall until it reached the end. Then he went down the basement stairs which he thought led to the main room. It turns out his guess was wrong. Olivia actually entered a very spacious room that was soundproof. She opened the unlocked door with her two tiny hands.
"I found it," Olivia muttered softly.
She disguised himself so that her face could not be seen. Olivia deliberately lined up in the back row. Who would have thought that he would hear something more surprising than what she heard from her mother this afternoon.
"That's Luna's story. That's why the Moon Goddess made her the chosen woman. She has her destiny line.”
Olivia left the room after hearing that sentence. It turns out she was chosen by the Moon Goddess for unpleasant reasons.
