For a moment, when Rain noticed that she had stopped, he thought maybe...just maybe, she had realised how bitter she had sounded, and probably wanted to rephrase her sentences.

However, he was thoroughly wrong: she had stopped because of the voice of the child- the child she was a mother to.

'She looks too young to be a mother, but why should I concern myself with this? I just need to rest for fifteen days, and will be leaving this place on the night of the full moon!'
