For a moment, Rain couldn't understand who the people were, who were circling the area around Arene and him. He might not have seen all her guards and the armed men, but being a wolf, he was completely familiar with the smells which he had noticed and associated with her guards earlier, when they had been in the hospital room with her and the kid. But now, the scent emanating from them was completely different, as if they were two different sets of people and carried their loyalty to two different persons!
