'I knew it! I knew it, how can Arin be quiet, even for a minute! But it is quite unusual that he hasn't slept yet, otherwise he might have drifted off to sleep at this point of time...it is probably because he is hungry till now.'

Arin being hungry was the concern that overwhelmed me completely, and made me eager to avoid any further delay. So before the stranger could speak anything and delay us more, I intervened hurriedly.
