When Gia wrote to me on Saturday morning to say that she couldn't come after all because something came up at short notice, I was a little disappointed.

We hadn't spoken since I was last in Pittsburgh, and even though we didn't part on bad terms, I wasn't sure if everything was really okay.

It made me sad that things had been so cold between us. I was all the happier when she contacted me yesterday morning and wanted to come over for the weekend.

Even if it doesn't work out now, I'm still more reassured. She wanted to come over, so everything must be okay, right?
