"Promise, just sleep."
"Eh, don't just go home if you're going to sleep," I said while frowning.
He pinched my side and said, "Here, you're not kidding."
"I thought so, eh." I was still frowning as I faced him.
"Oh, come on, don't be cute with me. Hmmm hon, thank you earlier, huh."
"There's nothing," I said.
"You're really smart," he said and immediately kissed me on the cheek.
When he kissed me, I endured his alcohol-smelling breath. "Would you like some coffee?" I offered him but the man shook his head and refused the coffee.
"I want to eat some fish, do you have stock?"
I understood why he craved tinola because he had been drinking. "There is," I replied and he smiled.
"You just picked it up quickly, didn't you?"
“Yup!”
"Okay, I'll play one game in ML while you cook."
I just bit my lip at what he said. At two o'clock in the morning, he borrowed money from me, then he came suddenly without even texting, then ordered me to cook tinola because he had been drinking. "Enjoy, I'll call you when it's ready," I said and he gave me a wide smile.
My steps back to the kitchen were heavy. When I opened the fridge, I took out a Tupperware that I filled with fresh talikot. I just bought it last night because I went to the market after coming home from work.
While I was boiling water, I also prepared the tinola ingredients. Only then will I put the fish and spi ces when the water boils so as not to overcook the fish.
I have also made some rice for both of us and I think I will also have breakfast early. Thirty minutes later I called him so we could eat.
"Wait a minute, the game isn't over yet!" The good man answered from the living room.
Actually, I just realized that he has gone too far. Maybe Karl thought that because I love him, I baby him, I can't live without him.
