My legs couldn't stand up anymore, I fell to the ground hard, I felt my bones bumping against each other.  Sophie screamed loudly as she ran to my father's body without a head.

Before she could reach him, he grabbed her by the hair with his big hand, then put the sword on her neck and said to her in a voice that I could hear.

"It's all because of your recklessness and curiosity that you didn't control when we told you to keep our secret."

  

He pointed with his sword the bodies of my father and brother and completed his words

"If you had closed your beautiful mouth, you wouldn't have to see your family die like that in front of you, but look at them lying on the floor motionless and who should all blame?"

 

He put his sword full of my family's blood on her neck and continued

" you! "

Before I blink my eyes he pulled the sword on her neck and my sister's blood spread on her green dress and made the earth slowly drink it, then fell to her knees staring at my father's body in front of her.  Before she could take her last breath, she whispered, intermittently

“Please…..sam…..forgive me…..”

  

And she died.

When he saw her not moving, he started walking again to his next goal... It is my mother who holds Liam's body in her arms and rocks her body back and forth with tears in her eyes, singing to him. 

Here I no longer control my body, which led me rushing to my mother to protect her from this ruthless creature.

I stood in front of him with my whole arms open to cover her and I said to him in a shaky voice

"Stop!! That's enough please, don't you see the amount of blood around you anymore! The land of my house is swimming in the blood of my family. Don't you have a little mercy? Please let her live. You came just to kill them all? Their fault they knew your world? Didn't you say you would?  Sophie’s Punishment?”

The genie stood in astonishment, tilting his head to his side a little as if he remembered that I was there.

"Who told you that I'm only here to kill your dear sister? It seems that you don't know the law of the unified world of fairies and humans, but no problem I'll teach you about the greater law."

He took a step closer to me, looked me in the eye, and said:

"The greatest law says, that every human who discovers the world of the fairies must hide what he has discovered from others forever. He must not speak or give hints, even if indirectly to anyone, and not take anyone to see our world, even if he is from the family. And your smart sister when  You discovered our world, told your dear family without even thinking, and it came to your father to enter our world and steal some rare and enchanted herbs in order to protect himself from animals when hunting and to have the ability to understand and hunt them easily, and these herbs are forbidden to humans to use without permission  The fairies who work for years to cultivate and protect them from humans are like your father.”

  

He took a breath, as if he had run out of patience, but continued on

"Not only stealing, but entering the world every day, he made some of the hunters discover our world too. I will not go into the details of the problems that occurred because of him, but I will tell you now about the greater law..... which states that every human reveals our secret to anyone else without  The king or his assistants from the fairies know that he and the one he is told shall be put to death.”

 

So that's why my dad didn't come back early every day, he always said he was late because of the fishing.  This is also the same reason why my mother forbade Sophie from leaving the house again.  And he's the one who killed them today, and he's going to kill me and my mother now.

“So get out of my way and let me continue my work in peace.”

The genie said raising the sword in my face.

 

I did not go away, and I will not go away.  I don't have the strength to kill him or even drive him away, but all I have is courage and here I am standing before his sharp sword with confidence.  He breathed impatiently from his mouth and then pushed me on my side so hard he threw me all the way to the ground.

I quickly stood on my feet and ran with all my strength on him, I pulled his muscular arm that carried the sword to keep the sword away from my mother, he looked at me surprised and then tried to keep me away from him by pushing me with his empty hand.

I bit him with my teeth as hard as I could to hear his screaming like music to my ears and his swearing under his breath.

With his hand that had the sword in it and under my teeth, he hit me with his elbow on my stomach causing the air to come out of my lungs, at the same time the sharp sword touched my shoulder and the pain spread throughout my arm.  I've never seen so much blood dripping from me before.  The genie turned his attention back to my mother, continuing to kill my entire family one by one without thinking or guilt.

In the next and last scene I knew what would happen without even thinking, and before I looked or moved from my place, I heard the sound of the sword entering her body, the sound of iron entering flesh and breaking bones before I saw him killing my mother in cold blood and without any expressions  his face.

I quickly closed my eyes so that I could not see her face and her body, which fell to the ground with a loud sound that made me shiver.

I felt unwell in my stomach and vomited on the floor.  Ringing and buzzing in my ears became all I hear.  Scenes of Liam, Dad and Sophie dying are constantly in my head.  I heard the genie walking towards me with my head bowed.

Don't look!....let him finish everything now and forever.

I told myself.

I'm not dead yet!  I still couldn't feel his filthy scarlet-red sword digging into my body.... When I slowly raised my head, I saw him wiping his sword with a sky-blue handkerchief he had pulled out of his pants pocket.  After the sword was almost clean of blood, he put it back on the sling on his waist.  He looked at me as if he was thinking some special way, I think, to kill me.  But he did not move and kept looking at me strangely, and the strangest thing was that his eyes were filled with pity.

 

The genie squatted in front of me, putting his arms on his knees, and said to me in a calm voice

"What should I do with you? You didn't know anything about it before... It's not your fault like them."

  

"What should you do to me? It's not my fault? What does this ridiculous word mean?" I asked him sarcastically.

My eyes widened in astonishment, and then the astonishment turned to a look of disgust.

“You didn’t know about my world before, you weren’t involved and had nothing to do with them. So I shouldn’t leave you here after I did.”

  

I blinked several times before getting his words into my mind, and then laughed out loud, although it was nothing funny, but his words, which had no logic, made me laugh so much.

 

"Shouldn't you leave me here? After all that's happened today, after all the merciless killing. Now you're coming to tell me that you shouldn't leave me here after I've learned of your world that I don't care even a little bit..."

I paused for a moment, then continued yelling at him

"How dare you!! How can you let me live after you have killed the people I love and whose life is my whole life?! How can you decide for me? Why should I live after knowing about your world, what is the difference between me and them? I want you to kill me and let me  Relax! I won't move from here, do you understand?"

 

He put his fingers on the side of his head as if I were a headache for him, then lowered his left knee to the ground and leaned on it, his golden hair falling over his eyes and said

"They told each other, they spread the secret between them. If I wasn't here to stop them, they would have told more people about us. The more people knew, the more dangerous the situation became, and your corruption, you humans, would spread to our world and could destroy it all because of you."

"Your words are ridiculous and untrue, my family will not reveal the secret to anyone, they may have done it among themselves, but it is impossible for people. They are not stupid because they know it is dangerous. And you in your wrath came and took them from me simply without even giving them a chance to talk. You could have  Things will be resolved by negotiation or whatever is possible."

 

He didn't speak for a while, he just stared at me trying to comprehend my words

"I understand how you feel, and you have every right to be angry with me, even to kill me and get justice, but it was never my choice. I didn't want to harm your family. If it were a genie other than me, he would have done the same. We cannot ignore the laws,  Because it was made to protect us. Just as you humans want to protect your world from strangers, we also want the same."

 

Suddenly I felt something warm running down my cheeks, when I raised my hand and wiped my cheek, I saw tears I didn't realize I was crying.  My heart hurts so bad at this moment, I feel like I'm torn to shreds.  Millions of feelings flow like confusion, amazement, weakness, guilt, hate, disgust, remorse and every bad feeling in this bad world is in me.

Why and how did Sophie discover their world?  Why did my father steal?  He never stole in her whole life from anyone!  On the contrary, he would give without return, he would give even if he did not have enough.  He was a man who was proud of myself as his daughter, I had never expected that he would accept such a job in my life.

And my brother Liam.... I didn't know anything about him because he is far from me and we are not close to each other, but he always protects me and defends me and everyone.  It is enough that he is my older brother, he was antisocial and stays in his room when his spare time, secretive and mysterious.

Sophie, with a strong personality and a bright smile, I was also not very close to her, but she helped me with everything I needed help with, every time the children of the village hurt me, she would stand in their face and beat them.

I learned strength and courage from her.  And now she too has gone and left me.

And what should I say about my mother..... who taught me to grow in my thoughts and actions at a young age, taught me that life is not always in our favour, and obstacles will always stop us from making us surrender if we are weak.  My tender mother who hugged her is enough for me to forget all the cruelty and pain around me.  He whispered her to me in her soft voice. It was enough to make me forget the world and make me sleep without dreams.

And here I am sitting in the pool of their blood and the smell of their unmoving bodies filling my nose.  The responsible person is in front of me telling me that it is not my fault that I die after losing everything.

 

No!!  I won't let him hurt me, I'll stay here with them until my last breath.

I looked up at him coldly and then hit my hand on the ground hard and said to him

"I won't move from here, and I won't go anywhere with you, do you understand? You can go and leave me alone or you can kill me with your ridiculous secret at this moment."

He grinned, showing his beautifully aligned white teeth and making small wrinkles appear at the end of his yellowish brown eyes.

"You seem too stubborn, and you won't listen to me....well as you wish. I'll get you what you want and finish it forever."

The feeling of comfort began to invade my heart and mind, and my shoulders and back were a little slack, and for no reason I bowed my head unfortunately, looking at my hands resting on my thighs, I don't want to see him and his disgusting sword, I don't want to see anything after my family lying in front of me and their soul leaving  Their weak bodies. Before the next thing happened, I heard the genie say

"Looks like I have no other choice, you won't be happy with what I'm going to do, I'm sorry."

Then I felt his warm hand touch my head and suddenly I could no longer feel my body, and everything turned dark.....
