Brie was walking to school; she didn’t want anyone to send her inside because she knew it would be an issue. She didn’t attend for two days so she had so much to do. She looked again at the phone the man gave her last night. An iPhone 11 pro max. He didn’t know if she would be happy with all it gave or be afraid because maybe what in return it would ask for.
Why should she be afraid of what it will ask for when they will be getting married next week? She was about to enter the gate when someone blocked her. It was Klea, the bully of their school. She was about to ignore it, but it suddenly blocked her path with its friends.
“I thought you already quitted here. You’re just stupid nonsense,” it said and laughed.
She took a deep breath and was ready to walk. But it blocked her again.
“Hey, Klea! Leave her alone!” Fortunately, her friend Chillet came, so they left.
“Hey, besh! What happened to you? You didn’t show up for how many days?!” her friend asked her worriedly.
She didn’t say a word. She didn’t want to know what happened because it would definitely force her to report to the police. And her father’s debt may get even worse.
“You know, I’m coming to you?! And your siblings said you didn’t come home! They’re worried too!”
She suddenly looked at it. She only had one thing on her mind.
“Dad didn’t say what happened?”
That’s what she had in mind while her friend was talking. It was also in the shop and was looking for her.
“B-besh, sorry if you’re worried,” she said.
“Girl! Really? Where are you from?” it asked.
She couldn’t answer, she also didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want the problem to get bigger. They arrived at their classroom while taking care of the tasks that she had missed. She begged their professors, so she did everything with her friend. While she was being teased about where she really came from. The day was over, and she was very stressed because she finished those tasks today at the same time.
“Hey, besh! Let’s go to the shop together!” it says.
This is one of her problems. She would have planned to work more but she knew the man would not allow her.
“S-Sure besh! Let’s just meet later,” she said before leaving. She turned around when she met their driver, Oka. She hurried in and her friend might catch up with her. She ate first before resting and taking a bath, fortunately, and she has her uniform because this is what she was wearing when they took her. Her uniform was left in their house so she would go through it later. She was about to go out when a maid spoke behind her.
“Ma’am Brie, Sir told you not to come out,” it says.
“I’ll just text him. I have to go now,” she said.
She even repeated it to the maid just to agree. She was about to leave, and Oka just delivered her. He arrived at their shop. But he was surprised when their manager didn’t cut him or even ask him.
“Besh, it’s really impossible! Why does Ma’am seem to know what happened to you and she didn’t even bother to ask you?” said Chillet as she acted thoughtfully.
She just ignored that. She is sure that the man has a plan. She focused her attention on the customers while deep in thought. She just didn’t immediately see the kindness of the man because of what had happened. But she was still not comfortable with its presence. She didn’t know it completely yet, so she was still worried.
“Miss a Coffee Jelly—Madame?”
She suddenly looked at the customer as it spoke and called her madame.
“M-Meshua …”
“Madame, what are you doing here? And you’re working? Does captain know that?” Meshua asked as it looked at what she was wearing.
She apologizes to her companion to talk to Meshua outside. “Meshua, don’t just tell him please?” she says.
“But madame—”
“Besides, I need you, Meshua. I need an answer to all my questions,” she said while looking at it.
“What’s that Madame?” it asked as it guessed what was on Brie’s mind.
She needs to know the man’s identity. Where did it really come from? Who is it really?
She also needs to know all its past. She also doesn’t know why she even thought of saying that.
“Hey, Brie! Why are you talking to Sir Meshua? His handsome in fairness!”
Sheena said like crazy while looking at Meshua who was at table number 3.
“Hey, beshy! You didn’t even say that sir handsome and you were close!” Chillet said while trembling as well.
“We’re not close. I just know him,” she says while averting its gaze.
She no longer wondered why the women were so excited about it. Because it was approachable and very kind.
Time passed. She said goodbye to her companions. She was about to leave when he saw Meshua in the parking lot. She looked around before getting into its car.
“Madame, what do you want to know?” the man asked while sitting in front.
She looked at it first before speaking.
“All, Meshua, who is he? What kind of person are he and his past? What happened to him?” she asked while looking seriously at the young man.
“M-madame I-I’m not the one you should ask about that thing,” It says.
“We’re getting married Meshua, even his name, I don’t know,” she said as he begged to look at the man. It took a deep breath before speaking.
“You’re not alone madame, he doesn’t just give his name to people who aren’t close to him. But it’s just weird and he didn’t tell you that thing?” it said while looking astonished.
“That’s why I’m begging you Meshua, What’s his real name?”
It didn’t say a word and just looked at her. The man didn’t know if he should answer the girl’s question, or he would just leave it to his friend.
“What is his real name and who is he really?” she asked again while looking at Meshua.
A few minutes later someone spoke behind her.
“Why do you want to know?”
She looked away and felt nervous. She didn’t think the man was behind her. She swallowed; she didn’t know what to answer. The man approached them.
“Why do you ask him about me?” it said.
“S-sorry …” she said and bowed.
“Captain, Madame I’ll go first. It’s up to you to talk.” Meshua said before exiting the coffee shop.
The man pulled her causing her to stand up. They got in the car. She did not feel like riding. She failed to know everything. She failed to recognize its identity. They arrived at the house without a word while eating. Until she finished eating. She went straight to the bedroom and went on the terrace.
But she was surprised when someone pulled her. That man. She made her sit on the sofa.
“What are we going to do?” she asked while looking at it.
“You want to know my name, right?” the man asked. He nodded. He didn’t expect the man to ask her that.
“On your necklace,” it's a short answer.
She looked at her necklace in surprise.
“The pendant.”
She touched the moon pendant again. She turned it over for a closer look. She was shocked by what was written there, it was just a very small letter so you can’t see it right away.
“Lanche Hendrix?” she said. Now she just realized it was the man’s name.
“Is that you? Your name is Lanche Hendrix?” she asked in shock. It didn’t speak. It looked at her.
“But why? Why don’t even the maids or other people know your name?” she asked in surprise. She is also confused here.
“Just simple, because we’re not close.”
“But wait, aren’t you rich? But why is it hidden? How is that hidden?” she asked, very confused.
