Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Brie swallowed hard, the man she was about to collide with, and this man was the same! She couldn’t believe this man could do that. She suddenly remembered her dream.

How the man’s gun pointed at her while smiling at her. And now, she sees it for herself. Not a dream! But it's very true! Her fear increased even more.

“W-what do you need?” she stammered as the man stood up and turned to look at her.

But instead of answering her, she was surprised when the man suddenly smiled and left the room. That made her even more worried.

She suddenly remembered her siblings, she had to go home because those armed men might have returned it. She immediately thought of a way to get out without people noticing. She peeked out the window, she wondered if she would jump.

She turned around and saw the blanket and bed sheet so she immediately thought of away. Even though it was dangerous, she had to get out. She took a deep breath before he slowly came down and clung to the bedsheet. But he managed to get down safely. So, she did not waste the opportunity to climb the fence. But she heard the screams of the men while looking at her.

She ran fast and reached the highway. She saw the approaching car so she quickly came close to it. He breathed a sigh of relief as she got into it and got away from those who were chasing her.

“Thanks a lot—”

She couldn’t finish what she was going to say when she saw the owner of the car. There was no one else but that man!

It just looked at her seriously as the car stopped. She was about to go down when the man touched her but she quickly pushed it away so she got out of his car.

She kept running until she got close to the village gate. She got out and quickly stopped the oncoming jeep. She sighed out of relief when she saw the man’s car veer off the road. She looked at her watch. It was ten o’clock in the evening. So there were only a few people. She suddenly thought of the siblings. She was sure it was waiting for her.

She didn’t realize that she was already at the terminal. She almost ran to get home to their house. They had to leave. Because their lives are dangerous.

But she had not yet reached their house when she saw his father in the distance. It seemed that it was waiting for her.

“Brie?!” her father was startled.

“Dad!” She hugged it tightly. Fortunately, nothing happened here.

“What are you doing here?” it asked her in astonishment.

“Where’s Becky and Nicole?” she asked while waiting for her father to answer.

She was about to walk when it stopped her. Which shocked her even more. But she has not yet been able to speak it again.

“Forgive me, child.” That’s what his father said that made her even more confused.

“For what?” she asked. He didn’t speak and just bowed.

She looked at the car that stopped in front of them. She was facing the car. The person inside the car and the next car got off. She saw the man approaching them with the men threatening their lives.

“W-what are you doing here?!” she asked angrily and looked badly at the man.

“Daughter.”

She looked at his father with astonishment. She also didn’t know why those men were with him. Her father was like that.

But she was surprised when the men held her arm. He looked at his father who did nothing but look at him. She could not understand why his father was not helping her.

“D-Dad?” she says.

Her father didn’t say a word and just looked away. So, she looked at the man who was looking at her seriously.

“Your father didn’t tell you?” the man asked but there was a seriousness on its face as it looked at her.

“What?” she asked confusedly as she looked around at her father and the man.

“Where do you have agreements? You’re mine now as his payment.”

She seemed to take her breath away when she heard what the man said. She looked at her father who was slightly bent over.

“Dad? He’s lying, isn’t he?” tearfully, she says.

Her father looked at her as if he didn't know what to say. Her shoulder dropped even more when she saw her father’s reaction. She knew what the man was saying was true.

“B-Brie, forgive me, I don’t want it. But this is the only thing I know will be good for us.” He said crying as well.

“I-I don’t want to!” She quickly ran towards her father, but it stopped her.

“Brie, come with him,” her father said before walking away.

“Dad! I don’t want to! Dad!” she screams as she struggles with the men.

But her father was farther and farther away. It didn’t listen to her call. It just keeps walking away from them.

“Dad! I don’t want it here! Dad!” she shouted again, but it turned into an alley so she could no longer see it.

At the same time, the men dragged him to their employer’s car. She was forced to enter there. All she could do was cry. She didn’t really think that her father would be able to do that to her. That she would be the one to pay their debt.

That she would be able to sell his own child.

She just burst into tears as she looked outside. Even if she struggles and struggles to come out, she cannot escape.

“We’re here.”

She returned to reality when the man spoke. She noticed that they were already here in its mansion. She reluctantly went down. She didn’t want to live here even though it was so beautiful and big.

But she could do nothing more.

He entered inside the mansion. Yes, this house is beautiful but he would prefer to live in their house as long as she is with her family.

“Just eat this.”

She did not speak to the man. She did not even look. She was not comfortable. She remembered what it had said earlier. That she paid his father’s debt. It only means one thing. It already owns her. She was surprised when it sat next to her and looked at her seriously.

“Tomorrow, we will prepare for our wedding. Whether you like it or not,” the man said while still looking at her.

She glared at the man. She didn’t think that in its appearance it was hiding something evil. She didn’t even know it completely.

“Are you happy? Are you happy that you’re stepping on someone?!” she shouted and stood up. But the man who looked at her without any reaction.

“We have an agreement. He needs to follow that,” it said, looking at him seriously again.

“What’s wrong with you?! I never thought you behaved like that! Despite your gentle face, you’re a demon!”

But she was even more surprised when it lifted her and pinned against the wall. It touched her face so she tried to struggle but she couldn’t. It was just strong.

“You don’t know me yet. Just shut your fucking mouth! Or I'm going to kill you!”

She felt its angry tone. Before it released her, she slowly fell to the floor.

She thought it was over but suddenly she was lifted, and they climbed to the second floor of the mansion. They walked over and entered a door. This is the room earlier where she woke up. She saw the inside of the room because it turned on the light. It dropped her on the bed.

“Change your clothes now,” it said and left the room.

She was stunned as it closed the door loudly. She could not understand what it was doing. Recently, it was angry but suddenly it also became an angel.

She stood up and looked around. This room is beautiful. It is spacious. It is even bigger than their whole house. The color of the room as well as the furnishings is pure gray.

She was amazed at its beauty and cleanliness. She also dreamed of having something like this for a long time. But not in this way. Disgusted with herself, she did nothing to escape and see her siblings.

Later, there was a knock outside the room. She straightened up and sat down.

A woman came up to her. As far as she knew, it was a nanny because of its uniform. It was carrying a tray with a plate and a bowl.

“Ma’am Brie, eat first,” it told her.

It dropped the tray on the table before leaving. She didn’t think there were helpers here. She glanced at the contents of the tray. There was rice here and a dish. Juice is also included.

“Is there a party?” she questions the air as she opens the bowls and plates.

Earlier her stomach growled but she tried to ignore it. Or maybe it was poisonous. But she was surprised to find a piece of paper stuck to the tray.

“Just eat this!”

Brie raised an eyebrow when she read that. It was as if it immediately guessed what was on her mind. Because she also could not stand the growing stomach, she was forced to eat it.

But she thought about her family if they are eating anything now. Or if they have had dinner. She just continued eating. She had to sleep because there was still work tomorrow.

But how is she going to get to work? If she can’t get out of here? Her shoulder dropped again. She must train herself in the things that have changed.

Because starting today, everything will change. She can no longer study. She can no longer fulfill her desire to be a flight attendant. She will not be able to fulfill everything.
