Christopher had arrived exactly at nine-thirty in the morning. He wore a set of pants and a white shirt, that made Zoe feel a little underdressed. She was dressed in her regular clothes– Jeans, a white shirt hung loosely around her, and her favorite converse. It was much warmer inside the house, her jacket hung on a stand next to her office.

Zoe smiled and greeted him. James hadn’t arrived in the house yet, and Aubrey had gone to school, and they were completely alone in the house.
