“Zoeanne Rose Allen.” the woman whispered as she held the baby wrapped in a cotton cloth, in her arms.
The mother smiled at her daughter as she snuggled her close to her chest, kissing the top of her head gently. The baby’s dark brown eyes focused on her mother, big, and beautiful.
“She has your eyes.” the woman smiled at her mate, Matthew Allen, the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack.
Matthew smiled, lines forming around his jaw as he looked at the baby girl in his mate’s arms. He was happy that he had a daughter in his house, a baby that he always wanted. He was ecstatic when Charlotte was pregnant, her little belly protruding made him smile from ear to ear every single day. He was ready to become a father and ready to carry on the legacy of his parents, and those who came before him.
The Legacy of the Alpha Werewolves.
(Eighteen Years Later)
Matthew sighed as he signed another paper. “You think this alliance will help us?” he asked his mate, who sat on the chair opposite him. Her hair was neatly tucked in a bun, a few strands falling out of her brown-grey hair.
“We just need to get a hold of him. We already have two of our neighboring ones in favor, I’m sure this one will listen too.”
Matthew nodded, “Has there been any news of him?”
“No, there has been nothing for the past few weeks. James is out investigating.”
Matthew looked at his mate. Even though they had been married with two beautiful daughters, he never felt as she aged. He loved Charlotte a lot, if not more after they decided to make a family together. He had been proud of his daughters- Zoanne who preferred to go by Zoe, and Aubrey.
Matthew when young didn’t think about family or mates. He was always so focused on leading a pack, that it didn’t matter to him that much. Not until he met Charlotte who toppled his whole world. The three of them were his world now, and he wouldn’t let anyone near them.
“Let’s leave right now.”
