A/N: I'm gonna use past and present as a time dictation. This chapter is set as a few days or weeks after the building collapsed. So this is like a flashback of what happened. I hope you get what I mean. Enjoy the chapter and don't forget to comment what you think and vote. Media for the McDonough brothers of Before You Exit :)
Michael's POV
It's been a few weeks since everything went down to place. But it didn't end the way we want it to be, the way Calum want it to be. Standing in the front of his locked door with this tray on my hand and the untouched food on my feet makes me crazy.
"Hey, Cal?" I call from the outside. "I brought you dinner, please come out and take this." I begged but I got no answer.
I placed the new food below and took the untouched one.
"It's on your doorway if you want it." I sighed before walking away with a heavy heart.
I went to the kitchen and threw the untouched food. Calum being like this breaks my heart. I know that he is hurt from losing Summer, his supposed family. I have no idea how can I help him.
"Hey, Mikey." Someone called, causing my thoughts to fall.
I turned around to see our friends from NYU, the McDonough brothers. Who is a part of the mafia world as well, from Orlando, Florida and a famous boy group as well.
"Hey, guys." I greeted.
"How's Calum?" Connor asked.
"Still the same." I sighed. "I don't know what to do anymore."
"Just give him more time, Mikey." Riley tells me.
I understand Calum, I really do. Just that, I can't afford to see him slowly killing himself. We already lost 2 brothers, and I can't afford to lose another one. Luke just left yesterday for Japan, the reason why this is so heavy for me. I have no one to boost me up, Mom and Dad are devastated as well, we all are and it's fucking hard for me.
"Sometimes, I just wanna end up at the asylum." I tell my friends and they laughed a little.
"You can do this, Mikey." Toby says. "You have us and your other friends."
"Thanks, Tobes." I say.
Calum's POV
It is now late at night and I went out of my room quietly. Slowly walking to avoid any sounds as I make my way to the nursery room. The room that I thought will be filled of happiness, laughter, joy and memories. The room that I thought where my family and I will always be, making moments to remember. The room where I thought that I will be finally happy.
I slowly turned the knob and opened the door. I switched the light on, the same time where pain kicked me at its hardest.
I entered and closed the door. I looked around and I just can't help it, tears are running down again from my eyes. I'm tired of crying, of my heart breaking to pieces again and again everytime that I remember that I lost my family. But what can I do? This is all that I can do right now. To take all the pain that is given to me.
I took the ultrasound photo from the wall and sat on the bed. I stared at the photo, at my little angel who was taken away from me. I never knew that pain can be this much, too much that I just wanna die and be wherever my family is. I thought that the most painful thing that I will have in my life is when my Mom left me at the orphanage. But I was wrong, because losing Summer and our angel is the most painful thing, making it worse because I wasn't able to save them.
I am thankful that I still have Michael and Luke with me. I want to be strong for them, but I just can't. Luke left and we didn't stop him. I want him to heal and be better, no matter how long it takes for him, I just want him to be okay. I don't want him to be on trauma again, because I can't handle more shits anymore in our lives.
I laid at the bed and made a space beside me. I placed my arm on that free space, hoping that when I wake up the next day, Summer will be here, that this is all just a nightmare and that I will wakeup soon and everything will be okay.
"I wish you are here." I whisper before a tear falls from my eyes.
I closed my eyes as I think of her beautiful smile before drifting to sleep.
Justin's POV
"What the fuck were you thinking, Justin?!" Gabriel yelled at my face.
"You know how much I love her, Gabe." I defended. "She's all that I want."
"I know that, Justin." He sighed. "But you can't just take her to Canada."
"I can, Gabe." I say. "And I will."
"You're my brother, but I can't allow you to do stupid shits."
"I appreciate that." I say. "But I'll appreciate it more if you help me do this."
"Fine." He finally says. "But this is the last, Drew." And I smirked.
I am back in my house where I kept Summer. I hired some doctors and nurses to take care of her since she got hurt from what happened last time.
I entered the room and asked the nurse to leave for a while. She hasn't wokeup yet since I brought her here. I hope she is okay, the doctor told me that the baby is still there, and I am happy about it.
"Hey, babe, wakeup soon, okay?" I say as I held her hand gently.
I went out of the room again and dialled my phone. To make it short, what the Waylands know is that Summer is already dead, that Summer died on fire as the building burns down from the bombs that Allie and Liam planted. I paid large amount at the people who are doing the investigation to hide the truth from the Waylands, this time, I can say that I finally won over them.
Summer's POV
I can feel my senses coming back to me slowly. I opened my eyes and adjusted them to the lights of the room that I am in. When I finally got them open, I moved by eyeballs around the room that is painted in white.
A nurse approached me with a record on her hand.
"Can you hear me?" She asked softly and I slowly nod yes.
She went out of the room and I waited for he to come back so I can ask where I am, whose room is this and what happened to me.
She came back after a few minutes with a doctor behind her and a tall guy with a blonde hair and light brown eyes. He looked at me and he looks worried.
The doctor walked over my bedside and used his stethoscope on me. I still feel weak and I feel some pain around my body. I wanna speak up to ask what happened to me.
"She's all okay, her vital signs are working good." The doctor tells to the blonde guy. "She just needs more rest."
"Thanks, doc." He replied.
The doctor and the nurse went out of the room, leaving us alone.
He sat at the chair on placed on my bedside.
He held my hand gently before asking, "How are you feeling?"
"Who are you?" I asked with a low voice but audible to hear. Then, his expression shifted into a shocked and confused one.
