As the door opened, Tessa prayed to the moon goddess that it wouldn't be her father. She hoped it would be one of the guards instead.

That way, she could persuade one of them to pretend as if they didn't see anything. As her luck would have it, it was in fact Alpha Mount. Alpha Mount had a confused expression on his face as he came in and his eyes landed on Tessa.

"Tessa" he started "What are you-"

His speech stopped as soon as he saw the unfamiliar boy in her arms. His confused expression turned into an angry one.
