My eyes fluttered open. I had a slight headache. Even though the king left the dinner party, everyone else continued to party and drink. Mrs Mattain and her group wanted to drink and chat with me. It seemed I had impressed them with how I spoke to Sadie. I sat up and stretched, still happy, when my eyes went to the corner of the room, and I gasped. Ronan was sitting in a chair, watching me intensely.
