Emilia sat in the living room, her gaze drifting over her triplets as they played with their toys on the carpet. Jasper, Ruby, and Diamond were lost in their own world, laughing and chattering, their innocence filling the room with a warmth Emilia struggled to hold onto. Her mind, however, was far from peaceful, weighed down by the strange message she’d received the previous night.

She glanced at her phone, reading the text over again:

“Emilia, it’s Freya. I don’t have much time. Tonight, they planned everything—they’re moving forward with a plan to eliminate you and Raymond. Elder Callum is involved. Please, be careful, and keep Raymond safe. I’m sorry...
