Bella parked the car and made herself look good.
The elevator doors opened and she walked to her office in her 10cm high heels.
"Good morning, Director Carter."
"Good morning."
Walking across a row of office blocks, she opened the door of her own office, walked in, put her things away, and sank into her office chair.
Just then there was a knock on the door.
She heaved and straightened herself up to look serious. "Come in," she said softly.
A girl opened the office door and walked in.
This is Alice, Bella's assistant, who is in her early twenties.
Smiling, Alice held a document on the desk in front of Bella. "Director Carter, here's the copy for the shampoo ads you asked for yesterday morning. Just look it over and sign it if it's okay."
Bella nodded. "Okay, wait. I'll read it now."
She picked up the copy in the hand and began to turn over, her eyebrow frowning, concentrated on it.
Alice was standing around doing nothing, but her eyes fell on Bella and she began to look at her.
"Alice, what are you looking at? Do I have something on my face?"
Alice, who had been called, gave a dry laugh and said, "There is nothing on your face, but you look a little more tired than you did yesterday. Did the blind date go badly yesterday?"
Bella was so gentle with her subordinates that she never scolded them with a straight face, and now they're making fun of her.
Bella grabbed a pen, signed the copy, and as she stood up to hand it to Alice, she patted it on her head.
"If you have this time to study whether I look worse than yesterday, please hurry up and check why the advertising copy of company A hasn't come out yet?"
Alice took the paperwork and gave a dry laugh. "I’ll do it right now. I'll be there in a minute."
Bella nodded a little, walked over to the water fountain, picked up her glass, and turned her back to Alice. "Okay, go out."
Alice said, and started out, but she had not taken two steps before she stopped dead in her tracks.
"By the way, just now general manager let you go up to the meeting room. It seems that there is an important customer."
Bella paused as she took a sip of water. Her brow furrowed in a pensive expression.
An important customer? She doesn't forget any major clients lately, does she?
"I see. I'll be up in a minute."
Alice heard her answer and turned to go out with the paper in her arms.
Bella drank a glass of water and, confused, headed upstairs to the conference room.
When get off the elevator, there is conference room at a glance.
She saw the smiling general manager talking in the meeting room, and a man sitting opposite him.
The man's back was turned to Bella, so she couldn't see his face. But judging by the line of his back, and the long, slender, and well-folded legs, this man was in good shape.
Bella tossed her head and realized her thoughts had drifted away.
Standing in the doorway of the conference room, she took a deep breath, put her hand up and knocked on the door.
"Manager." "She said softly.
A middle-aged man's voice called out, "Bella, come in."
That's Warren Bush, the general manager of GY Advertising Agency.
Bella opened the door and went in with a faint smile on her lips. She walked up to Warren, "Manager, did you call me up? Is something wrong?"
Warren stood up, his usually unselfish face beaming with a kind smile.
"Here, let me introduce you to each other. This is Daniel Brook, the CEO of Group Brook."
The name Daniel made Bella's pupils dilated. She turned her head a little stiffly. There was a look of disbelief on her face as she saw the man sitting on the sofa with a gentle smile on his excessively pretty face.
Daniel! It's really him!
Daniel was more than impressed by Bella's shock. He smiled, a faint smile creeping into his eyes, and said in a low voice, "Bella, long time no see."
Yeah! Long time no see, five years!
Bella smiled awkwardly for some reason. She avoided Daniel's gaze and said with a dry smile, "Yeah, it's really been a long time."
Warren, who was standing on the other side, looked back and forth at them in disbelief before asking, "Bella, do you know each other?"
Bella had been working for the company for almost four years, but she had never mentioned that she knew Daniel.
Bella started to say something she didn't know, but Daniel beat her to it before she could get it out.
"Yes, we both graduated from South University. I was the head of the student council at the time and she was on the student council at the time, wasn't she?"
His dainty eyebrows rose slightly. As he said these words, his eyes half smiled at Bella.
She smiled a little fake and replied, "Yeah..."
She was forced in there by Daniel. In the student council, she just in charge of something unimportant.
"Oh? Is that so?" Warren was surprised. He thought the two seemed to be on good terms.
He smiled quickly and said, "Since Bella and Manager Brook know each other, then we are all friends. That's all right. We'll all sit down and talk."
He also wanted to win Group Brook's advertising this season by relying on Bella's relationship with Daniel. So they don't have to worry about their performance this year!
Daniel grinned and said something that made Bella shudder.
"Yes, he is..."
Bella sat down almost stiffly. She was even weirder about Daniel's confusing words.
An acquaintance? Are they familiar? For five years, they didn't have any contact. They are just strangers.
The three of them sat down in an indescribably strange atmosphere.
Daniel's eyes kept shining on Bella and never looked away,
Bella, on the other hand, kept her head down as low as she could, looking as if she could just disappear.
It took a moment for Warren to get to the point.
"Mr. Brook, Bella is the executive director of our creative department. She will be fully responsible for the advertising of L Hotel of your company, including planning and so on. What do you think?"
