Diane's POV
We pull up to a dingy, half-forgotten bar on the edge of town. It's the kind of place that doesn't even deserve the name. Liam insisted on somewhere private, and this was apparently the best he could do. The moment we sit down, he downs a shot of tequila and slides one toward me. I shake my head for obvious reasons.
"So...?" I prompt, already regretting agreeing to this.
My security detail sits at a nearby table, close enough to reach me in seconds. That knowledge is the only thing keeping me from bolting.
