Daisy’s POV

I stared open-mouthed as Merlin confessed right before Brian. I already knew he was interested in me from the way he always treated me, but I just wasn’t expecting him to say it like this, and in front of Brian too.

I watched Brian walk out of the compound with a fiery look in his eyes, he must have been infuriated by Merlin’s confession. I knew he would become sulky and nag at me at home, but for now, I needed to focus on my work.

I went back to my desk to round up the day’s work, only to get called to Merlin’s office.
