Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Tyler POV:-

The day was tiresome. I left my work just to help Christian out. He needs my help, So I stayed by his side I sighed deeply and thought about paying a visit to Christian and his wife Sophie at the hospital before going to work. He was so worried about her. He stopped thinking, eating, when Sophie was lost. I am glad to see their relationship development. I wanted to help him as much as I can.

I smiled sadly, wishing to have someone in my life too who will love me as if there's no end but seems like its chances are far away. The person I love always leaves me or betrays me, I felt bad for not having a reason in my life to live. And my redemption is still far away because of Kathrine who thinks she gives the best advice, I got help from her because she is a girl, the person I trust but my patience is breaking apart and I can feel this barely controllable emotion taking over my senses. I even began to doubt how can you love the person you hate? If this didn't work, Kathrine will surely pay.

I took a deep breath and bought a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates for Sophie and went to meet them. Since Christian talked about Sophie all the time, So I know what she likes and hates. I know Sophie more than she knows herself because I know Sophie and Christian's wedding is not fate, it was decided years ago.

I knocked and entered their room. I smiled and gave the flowers to Christian and asked Sophie, "Well, How's my sister-in-law?" I know it's not a good idea to ask her this question after she went through as I instantly regret asking her this question. She remained silent and didn't reply and I felt bad asking her this.

To lightened up the mood, I began to say, "Recover quickly, then we're gonna have a party to celebrate your-" Christian cut me off,

"Stop it Tyler, It's not a time for a party." He said glaring at me because I was about to say he loves Sophie- what he didn't accept. I smirked at him and replied, "That's why I said after recovery." I then turned to Sophie and began to say,

"You know, he just kept on talking about you." As much of an angry and serious person I love teasing Christian, he is my best friend. Christian flushed hearing this and I continued, "I love to have her in my arms. I love the taste of her delicate lips. I lo-"

"Can't you shut up Damn it!" Christian said raising his voice and I laughed seeing him like this.

"Why? Didn't you-" I was about to say something more but the door knocked again and the person I wasn't expecting to see entered. I didn't know that she knew about Sophie's condition, I know they are friends- No, actually Last time Sophie was with her but still why Candice is here... and here we go.

Action!

"You!"

"You!" We both said with venom.

"Do you guys know each other?" Christian asked.

"I wish not." I spat, glaring at her.

"I am also not dying to meet you. I came here for her." She hissed.

"You are the one that loves following me," I said rudely.

"And you, who follows my trails like a dog." She mocked. I don't know whether I should be angry or laugh hearing it.

I turned to Christian who was looking at me with a smirk and with such amusement, I glared at him to warn him to keep his mouth shut and go with the flow as I growled, "Christian, she is that ill-mannered girl I told you about."

"Sophie, he is that rude guy who thinks he can do anything with money." If I can I would have shown you your place.

"Oh, and you, who can't even work properly," I said.

"Well, I will rather be jobless than to serve someone like you." She hissed. I narrowed my eyes at her, controlling my anger and not saying anything that I will regret later. I don't want to turn the hatred into animosity.

"I don't even want you to serve me, woman," I said nonchalantly, belittling her words and not paying attention to it. She hates you. Don't pay attention.

"I have a name, Richie Rich."

"I also have a name."

We continued to bicker but then we heard the sound of Sophie's laugh upon seeing us so we stopped and turned to her.

"Get well soon." Candice smiled at her. "Good to see your smile, Sister," I said sincerely. Glad we made her laugh in her serious condition. She needs it.

"Candice why didn't you tell me you lost your job, you also-" She cut Sophie off,

"Oh, don't worry about it girl. I may have lost my job due to a certain someone but I am working somewhere else now." Thank me before and now.

"I have no regrets about getting that woman fired," I said in a low tone, turning to Christian.

"Like you can die under the weight of regret." She muttered.

"Okay, I think it's enough," Christian said looking at me. I scoffed and didn't say anything and ignored that woman's presence.

"How do you feel?" Christian asked teasingly.

"She needs to be tamed," I said, monotonously. "You are saying this?" Christian smirked, knowing I have never played with any woman's life or emotion. The only girlfriend I ever had in my life was Lydia but it was almost four years ago. I am a thirty two years old single. Thank you. Note the sarcasm.

"I didn't mean to." I corrected myself. "I know." He smiled. I then looked down began to say in a low voice so that no one listens, "I .. don't know what I am doing is right or not. Don't you think it's a cowardly way to express your feelings?" I asked. He put his hands in the air and shrugged, "Don't ask me. Look at me and Sophie, I already failed at my attempt." He said.

"I guess. I have to trust Kathrine." I sighed. "You should. She is your sister, she will not give you wrong advises." He assured me. "Should I really do it?" I asked hesitantly, looking at Candice, talking to Sophie with a wide smile over her lips and trying to cheer up Sophie. A sad smile rolled over my lips when I looked at her.

"Come on Tyler, you are the one who wanted to talk-"

"We will talk about it later, Dude. See you." I said hurried and left for my work not wanting to think about it waiting for the right time to come because I know I cannot go back now, the seeds of hatred have been sowed and now before it could grow, I need to cut it.
