“Jane, let’s go to the mall and then hit the club,” Amira suggests. “I don’t want you feeling down after sharing your story about your mate.”

“I don’t feel like going, Amira.”

“No, you need to cheer up, darling,” she insists. “Come on, let’s hit the mall.”

“Sure, I’m up for it,” I reply. “Let’s go.”
