“Well, all of your scans look normal,” Luna Isabella was saying as she stood next to Mercy’s bed, a bunch of papers in her hand. “We’ve run a lot of tests, and I don’t see anything wrong, other than you’re a little malnourished, but that shouldn’t be causing your memory issues. I think it’s safe to say it’s psychological at this point, honey.”

Mercy nodded, thinking she had to be right. “What do we do about that?” She wasn’t sure she wanted to hear the answer.

“Well, I suppose you’ve got a good reason for not wanting to remember these things, honey, or else you wouldn’t be blocking them...
