Mercy

The Alpha’s house. Staying in the Alpha’s house…. Something about those words made Mercy feel lightheaded and sick to her stomach. She couldn’t help it. There was a memory there, a bad one, one she couldn’t handle. Just the words coming out of August’s mouth made her want to get up and run out of the room.

“Mercy!”

She heard August’s voice calling her name, but all she could see was darkness, and a bit of light at the top of her eyes as they rolled back into her head.

“Mercy… Mercy! Breathe!”

At his command, oxygen filled her lungs again, and Mercy felt that she was regaining control...
