"Fuck!"
Tristan cursed loudly as he entered the room. The disappointment was visible on the man's handsome face. After having a serious conversation with Raphael and Mario on the back porch of the house, his emotions still haven't subsided for some reason. As if something was stuck in his heart, asking to be vented immediately.
"Tristan, what's going on here? Why did you come and get angry right away? Does this have anything to do with Aurora and Mario?"
Sophia, who was waiting for Tristan in the room, looked surprised. She just knew that her husband looked annoyed like now. As a man who has always been close to Aurora, Tristan must have tried to protect and protect the woman.
"I'm just annoyed with Aurora, honey. She can always be relaxed. Even refuses when I suggest her to get married."
Sophia nodded. Approaching the husband, she rubbed the man's back, asking him to calm down.
"No need to be emotional. Maybe Aurora needs time to think first. Don't be too pushy."
Tristan let out an exasperated breath. Until this moment, he is still amazed by the attitude that Aurora shows. I don't know what possessed the woman to have such a distant relationship, but she was still able to relax as if she was innocent.
"Unpredictable, after sleeping with a man, Aurora acts normal. Everywhere a woman has been slept with, she will usually ask for responsibility."
"Yes, maybe Aurora is like a woman today, dear," said Sophia. "I am not surprised by this kind of association. Many of my friends even have children with their girlfriends but do not formalize their relationship to a more serious level such as marriage."
"The problem is, Papa and Aurora taught me not to follow such beliefs or promiscuity. So why is he now being so wild? Of course, I'm surprised, Sophia."
Sophia smiled. Seeing how the glint of anger that still lingers on the husband's face, he then drew closer. Erase the distance between the two. Wrapped his hands around Tristan's nape, then spoke.
"That's it. Don't be angry anymore. Do you want me to do something, so I don't get emotional like this?"
Tristan chuckles. Seeing how his wife smiled meaningfully, he then squinted. "What can you do to make me not as angry as I am now?"
Maintaining her smile, Sophia replied with a seductive expression.
"I can do this..." The woman then deliberately tiptoed. She grabbed Tristan's lips and bit him. Kissing gently but so demanding. Which makes Tristan feel like he's losing himself if he doesn't repay what his wife did. For a moment, both of them were lulled. As if forgetting what happened earlier, the two of them retaliated against each other. Until she was satisfied, Sophia then broke the kiss.
"Why let go? I still want to bite your lip," Tristan protested as he kept his hands on Sophia's hips.
"We'll continue tonight. Aren't you planning on taking me out today? Don't pretend you forgot, Tristan."
Tristan laughed. He had almost forgotten the original plan to take Sophia out today. Kissing his wife's lips once more, the man nodded then checked the clock that was wrapped around his hand.
"Looks like there's still time. But before I go, I want to invite you to meet Grandma first. She wants to talk to you in person." Sophia nodded enthusiastically.
"Of course. Then, let's go see Grandma now."
Tristan without saying much more immediately took Sophia intimately. Take her to the back garden. Approaching the grandmother who often spends most of her time there sitting reading a book, or just caring for flowers.
Evidently, once they arrived, the two of them could see how Anna Maria looked engrossed in reading a book. While at the table not far from where the woman was sitting, there were various kinds of dishes such as fruit and snacks that she was ready to eat.
"Grandma," Tristan called. Walking closer, the man immediately took a sitting position right next to the 65-year-old woman. "I came here to take Sophia to meet Grandma."
Anna Maria adjusted the glasses she was wearing. Throwing a glance at Sophia, the woman asked for a hug.
"How are you, dear?" she asked kindly.
"Of course, I'm in great shape, Grandma," Sophia replied after breaking their embrace. Tristan who was between the two immediately invited Sophia to be next to her.
"Oma last saw you at your wedding. But it's a shame you were busy with some guests."
Sophia grabbed Anna Maria's wrist, holding it gently as she spoke.
"I'm sorry, Oma. I didn't realize that time. But now that we've met, Grandma is free to talk or ask me questions."
Anna Maria smiled. She patted Sophia's wrist, then replied.
"Grandma is just wondering what happened to you guys recently.
Oma had wondered when Tristan arrived in Paris without taking you. Just yesterday, you suddenly came to the party and asked Tristan not to remarry. Oma's question is, is your relationship okay?"
Sophia smiled back. She wasn't surprised that Anna Maria had asked that. Her stupid act of asking Tristan to stop the wedding procession must have been a big question mark for the Quartararo extended family who didn't know anything about it. problems in his household recently.
"I can't deny there was a problem between myself and Tristan, Grandma. We were almost separated just because of a misunderstanding. Luckily, everything can be resolved well. Now, the two of us have decided to make up and return to the relationship as before."
"Ah, thank God."
There was a clear relief on Anna Maria's face. Her granddaughter-in-law can be resolved well without having to separate.
"Oma is glad you two can pass all God's tests. Each of you should know. You have to be patient with each other too. It is not easy to establish a household name. There will always be ups and downs. The important thing is to stay united and open to each other when there is a problem."
Tristan and Sophia nodded in unison. Agreeing with the advice that Anna Maria gave to them both. Your little family is happy until death do you part. Like Oma and Opa and also Papa, your Mama, Tristan."
Tristan smiled. He hugged Anna Maria tightly. Grateful to have Grandma, who had always loved him so much. Even though Tristan realized that he was not the biological child of Andrew Quartararo, he still considered family Quartararo as a part of his life. Tristan also plans not to want to say anything about his status to his father's family.
"Thank you, Oma," Tristan said quietly. "Thank you for all the prayers and advice Grandma has given us both . I also hope that in every problem that we both receive, everything can be resolved and resolved without having to say goodbye."
"Oma always wishes the best for you all," replied the woman.
"By the way ..." continued Anna Maria. "Don't you want to go out today? Grandma remembers the plan you told me the other day."
Tristan then nodded. "So, Grandma. I'll even ask Sophia to come along with me. Let him know what's in Paris."
"All right, then, go. Be careful on the way. Enjoy your vacation in Paris."
***
Almost some of the exciting places Tristan and Sophia visited this afternoon. After being satisfied with walking around, the athletic-bodied man took his wife to one of the cafes he always went to while still sitting in school.
The plan is that Tristan also wants to invite Sophia to meet his childhood friends, who will gather tonight. The two seem to be lost in light conversation along the way to the cafe. They didn't know.
"You haven't told me about the reason that made you end your relationship with Edward."
While focusing on driving the vehicle, Tristan asked. He was indeed curious about this one. Another trigger that made his wife leave Edward. Everyone also knows how his best friend is what all this time. So caring, accompanying, even trying always to be there when Sophia needed.
"Edward was being mean to me," the woman said.
"Despicable?" Tristan's brow furrowed deeply. The man turned his head to confirm what he had just heard. "What the heck did Edward do to you?"
"It's a long story," Sophia said.
"At any rate, I'm always ready to listen."
Sophia chuckled. Turning to Tristan, he could see how his husband looked so curious.
"At first I never knew anything about you who often sent me flowers and various kinds of gifts every day. Until the day Alexius came to the house with my favorite flowers and cake. I was confused. Then he explained that the courier you used to order was often unable to. From there, all the secrets are finally revealed."
"So you're saying that over the past few days I've been shipping all sorts of stuff, you never know?"
Sophia shook her head. "Not at all. And it's all because of Edward. He deliberately asked one of the security guards at my house to keep all the gifts you send every day. That's why I never received any."
"Good grief!" Tristan shouted. Gripping the steering wheel, the man's emotions suddenly ignited. "So Edward did this evil thing to you?"
"Yeah," Sophia said, nodding again. "I didn't even believe Edward could do this at first. However, he admits his actions. I got angry and decided to stay away from him for a while."
"So? What made you leave him in the end?"
"When I visited Papa in prison, I also learned that you had visited several times. Asking for a blessing, apologizing, and even returning my family's company and paying for all the needs of the Adelaide family. I was embarrassed when Papa told me that, Tristan."
Tristan turned. He grabbed Sophia's wrist, then kissed her. "Why should I be ashamed? You deserve it all, Sophia. I've already told you that I'm willing to do anything as long as you're happy."
"Yes, because of this, I feel ashamed," Sophia said again. "Even though I have rejected you many times, you still don't give up and keep trying good. Not only to me but my family too."
Tristan smiled. As soon as the car he was driving reached the cafe yard, the man changed his seat to face Sophia before deciding to get off.
"Whatever it is, Sophia, I will do it for you. Whether it's now or later, I'll still do the same for the people I love."
"Thank you, Tristan," Sophia muttered softly. "Looks like the right decision came back to you." Tristan smiled again. Leaning over, the man helped. Unfastened the seatbelt that was wrapped around Sophia's body.
"We've arrived. We'll continue this conversation later."
Tristan then hurriedly got out of the car. She walked around and opened the door, inviting Sophia to leave immediately. As soon as he got out of the vehicle, the man quickly grabbed his wife's wrist. His friends had gathered.
"Tristan," called a friend while waving as soon as he saw Tristan's arrival. Those who were dominated by many men immediately invited Tristan and Sophia to sit on the chairs they provided directly.
"How are you?" he asked. one of the men named Alden hugged Tristan's body before he sat down.
"Of course, good. How are you and your other friends?"
"We're all in the same situation as you." One by one seemed to shake hands. They even kindly invited Sophia to join in on the conversation. Not long after, two women joined them.
"Jessica, Meggy. I thought you weren't coming," said Alden to the two women.
"How could we not come? Since then, Meggy has contacted me many times so as not to forget this event. It looks like he can't wait to meet Tristan," said the woman named Jessica.
Meanwhile, Meggy, wearing a black mini dress that night, seemed to keep smiling at Tristan. Stepping closer, the woman didn't hesitate to say hello while kissing both of Tristan's cheeks.
"Tristan, how are you? Haven't seen you in a long time."
Tristan smiled back kindly. "I'm doing very well."
"Since when did you arrive in Paris? For what purpose did you suddenly come back? Are you also planning to stay for a long time?" Tristan nodded, still smiling in response to the questions thrown at him.
"I arrived in Paris a few days ago. I came here on purpose because I wanted to attend my cousin's wedding and on my honeymoon."
The woman named Meggy gasped slightly. "Honeymoon? Are you married?"
Tristan nodded firmly. Turning to Sophia, the man introduced his wife to his two female friends.
"Yes, I'm married, and this is my wife, Sophia Walters Quartararo."
Sophia smiled kindly and greeted the two of them. Woman in front of him.
"Nice to meet you two."
Ignoring Sophia's words, Meggy looked away. She was choosing to stare intently at Tristan. Much different from Jessica, who invited Sophia to shake hands. Then shortly after, the woman spoke to Tristan again.
"I thought you weren't married, Tristan. Meggy must be heartbroken to hear this news." "Yeah, you're right, Jess."
Alden chimed in and then looked at Tristan as well. "In fact, after Tristan moved to London, I repeatedly asked Meggy to go out on a date. But still she refused because she was in love with Tristan. Usually Meggy doesn't want to be invited to hang out. Only tonight did she agree."
"Don't embarrass me, Alden," Meggy snapped. Her face looked very sullen. Maybe because he was annoyed with what his friends said, or he could be upset after finding out that the man she used to love is already married and has a wife. "I didn't embarrass you. I'm speaking of facts. You've always liked Tristan, haven't you? You chose to be a spinster because she hoped Tristan would come back and ask you to marry her."
"Alden!" Meggy shouted. "End your babbling. Or do you want me to beat you right now?"
Tristan just laughed. He does not take seriously what his friends say. In stark contrast to Sophia, who immediately fell silent hearing the reality that had just been revealed in front of her. Minutes passed. Tristan seemed to be enjoying his meeting tonight with some old friends and exchanging stories. Whether discussing school time memories, discussing business, not infrequently even about couples.
Until it was time to go home, Tristan then said goodbye to one of the old friends there. How Meggy behaved when Tristan said goodbye to her made Sophia furious. Meggy seemed shameless in hugging her husband. As if looking for an opportunity to get closer. Sophia even went so far as to pull Tristan away and rush off to the car.
All the way home, Sophia chose to remain silent. Not the least bit heed what Tristan said. Before they both arrived in the room, Sophia kicked Tristan out of bed after changing clothes.
"You can't sleep in bed with me tonight!" she snapped with anger. An aura of annoyance was evident when Sophia said those words.
"Can't sleep with you?" Tristan was surprised. He didn't understand why Sophia suddenly looked angry and annoyed with him. "Then where should I sleep, honey?" Tristan whined.
"Just sleep on the couch. Or in another room. I don't care."
"Sophia ..." Tristan sighed angrily. He didn't understand what had happened to his wife. "Why are you suddenly angry like this? What did I do wrong to make you feel annoyed like now?"
Sophia stared intently at Tristan. Pursing her lips, the woman acted as if she wanted to pounce on her prey right now.
"You ask what did you do wrong?"
Tristan nodded. "I'm not a psychic, Sophia. How can I guess what's in your heart. If you don't tell the truth, I'll never know," the man complained.
"I don't like Meggy's attitude towards you, Tristan. I hate to see how she looks at you in amazement. How that woman isn't the least bit clumsy to hug, even kiss your cheeks. Too bad you're silent! Are you taking advantage of this situation? What an itchy man!"
"Oh my God." Tristan immediately shouted. It turned out that the woman's jealous feelings triggered the anger that happened to his wife. "So you're angry about this? After all, Meggy and I are friends with Sophia. Even if she likes me, I can't stop it. The most important thing is that my love and affection is only for you. It can't be taken away, let alone shared with other women."
Sophia nodded. After a moment, the woman smiled. Is this a sign of anger that previously enveloped has now gradually subsided?
"Thanks for the explanation, Mr Quartararo. But I'm not the least bit touched by your words. So now, quickly move to the sofa. Don't ever intend to sleep with me tonight."
"But, Sophia----"
Sophia didn't care. Crawling onto the bed, the woman immediately pulled the blanket, then covered all parts of her body. Force yourself to sleep immediately. She don't care about Tristan, who can only lament his lousy luck tonight.
