On the way back, a heavy silence filled the car.
By half past ten, we arrived home.
"I'll draw you a bath first," I broke the silence, continuing to play the role of the dutiful wife, turning to head to the bathroom.

"Ouch..." The pain in my wrist made me hiss involuntarily.
"What's wrong?" Hearing my voice, he quickly released my arm, pulling up my sleeve to search for the injury, finding a cut on the outside of my wrist with bloodstains on the sleeve.
