Another rhythmic snore roused me from my peaceful sleep. When I opened my eyes, however, I was greeted by a naked, strong body.
What am I doing here?
Memories flashed through my mind of Orion on the bed, holding me close enough for me to admire his face again. I'm sure it's the kind of beauty that could take over the girls in the whole campus as soon as they enroll.
Oh god, I look around at the ruined lace panties on the nightstand as my mind tries to piece together what happened last night, I must have been stoned on alcohol yesterday.
I vaguely remember following Orion into his apartment like a nymphomaniac and then we came here. I vaguely remember screaming like crazy at the sight of his cock, and I cringe as I remember it repeatedly pumping in and out of me. I don't know if I can walk today.
His flavor was fantastic.
But Orion didn't even know my name.
Orion's hand against mine started lighting fires in me again, and god, enough, he can be so horny. I still needed to move in a hurry today, and I smacked away his hand that was rubbing and twisting my chest.
“I'm leaving,” I said as I pushed away from his body, sitting up and starting to look for my clothes.
“Uh,” he opened his eyes sleepily and stared at me blankly.
“Jesus, Orion, you literally ripped my clothes off last night.” I pulled my dress out from under the bed, it was over, how could I come back to the apartment in these broken clothes.
“What's wrong? Why are you pissed off? I can buy you a new set of clothes.” Orion looked at me confused, his strong arms closing around my waist.
“I'm not mad, so, let me go home now.” I huffed.
“Listen, I'm sorry if I upset you. You look like you're sorry about everything last night.” Orion took my hand and turned my body around. “We used a condom, you don't have to worry. If that's what you're thinking.”
“I, uh,” looking at Orion who seemed to have misunderstood me, I didn't even know where to start, ”how am I going to get dressed out of here when you're ripping my clothes to shreds.”
“Honey, you can take any of the clothes in my closet and put them on first.” Orion didn't realize it was because of that, and his hand touched my head. Then he opened his closet and picked out a designer white shirt for me.
“And you're going to buy me a new pair of underwear.” Orion was much taller than me, and his wide shirt was just like a dress for me.
“Is one pair enough?” I looked up and saw the heat glinting in his dark blue eyes.
Suddenly the AV video I'd studied earlier said that a girl wearing her boyfriend's clothes was like a lethal aphrodisiac with no cure.
“Orion,” I said through gritted teeth as I pushed away from Orion who was pressed against me, ”I have to go home.” I didn't even put on my shoes, I just opened the door and ran back home.
After closing the door behind me, I noticed that Orion hadn't followed, leaving me with a strange feeling I couldn't quite place—whether it was happiness or regret, I wasn't sure.
I took a nap in my apartment's living room, Orion had been exhausting last night. By noon, I packed my things to return the keys to my landlord. I'd been paying for a dorm room on campus but never stayed there. I rented this apartment just to spend more time with Evander and have the freedom to work. Now, it no longer seemed necessary.
When Evander arrived, I was packing boxes to move back into the student dormitory. My roommate, Demi, was a talented girl who was thrilled I was moving back. Even when I wasn't there, she often shared her notes with me. However, after the betrayal with Daria, I was wary of getting too close to anyone.
"Hey, Zoe, I brought your favorite lunch and a coffee. You deserve a great day," Evander said, trying to hand me the items.
I sensed his anxiety, likely because I was moving out and he wouldn't have a free place to crash anymore.
Furious, I knocked the items from his hands and kicked a nearby box containing his belongings and gifts I had given him—though I had already taken anything of value.
"You dare show your face here!? Don't expect me to spend another dime on you! And don't let me see you again! Get lost!" I screamed.
I had always treated Evander well because I felt insecure, thinking I wasn't good enough for him. I worked hard to compensate materially. At first, he refused my financial help, but then he started demanding expensive gifts to maintain his image with his teammates. Sometimes, a single pair of shoes would consume the earnings from three part-time jobs.
I never complained, but now, though still a bit heartbroken, I was done serving him.
“Baby, let me explain, she was the one who came into my bed and undressed me! It was your room, I thought it was you, didn't we say we were going to have a wonderful night together?”
“Bullshit night! Get lost!” I tried to kick Evander, but he dodged. My foot missed, and I nearly stumbled.
A strong hand caught me, pulling me back into a solid chest. The sensation was oddly familiar.
Orion stood behind me, dressed in workout gear with a white towel draped over his shoulders, sweat glistening on his skin. He must have been exercising in the stairwell and coincidentally reached this floor.
“Captain Orion?” Evander greeted enthusiastically. “Are you participating in the intercollegiate tournament this time?”
There was a saying on campus: whichever team had Orion was guaranteed victory. Orion had never lost, whether in individual or team competitions.
I felt a sudden, inexplicable tension, fearing that Orion might bring up last night's events. If Evander found out, he’d surely blame me.
But Orion said nothing about it. He acted as if he were helping a stranger, though I could feel his gaze linger on me.
“Yeah, heading back to campus today,” Orion replied coolly, not sparing me a glance before walking away.
It was true, as the rumors said—Orion was only interested in one-night stands without any emotional attachment. I had been foolish to think otherwise. Outside of last night's bed, we meant nothing to each other. I was just another number in Orion's never-ending list of conquests.
