“And then?” Andrew asked, jotting down notes with a fountain pen.

“I was scared and ran away,” I answered honestly. “But I went back soon after, and the body had changed. Even the autopsy site had healed. If no one swapped the body, then that corpse wasn’t human.”

Andrew continued to write, his brow furrowing more as he went.

He stared at his notes in silence before asking, “Let’s assume this is true—the body healed itself. But why? There must be a reason.”

I remained silent, staring at my legs. I couldn’t explain it either. Andrew’s logic might be correct; if it were real, there should be some explanation.
