Orion's POV
I couldn’t lie to Zoe any longer. I knew I had to tell her the truth.
But when I did, she stepped back, terror in her eyes. “No, this is just a dream. There are no werewolves, no talking skeletons. I’m dreaming! I need to wake up! Please!” She paced frantically, repeating these words.
I walked over and gripped her shoulders, slicing a clean cut across the back of my hand with a knife. “Zoe, watch.”
In moments, the wound began to heal, the flesh knitting back together until there was no trace of the cut. I hoped this would convince her.
