“You have a fever,” Elira muttered as she settled beside me. “What were you thinking, Calderone? Coming to this place and not bringing a doctor alongside you.”

Because it was damn impromptu, Elira. I wanted to scream. If Max hadn't given the information, I'd have lost her. Nico was planning on coming to her room to take her.

The extraction was quick, and that's why I put a handkerchief to her nose, because I knew she was going to protest, and thank my stars I did so.

Since the doctor hasn't been brought here yet, I'll just have to sit with my illness.
