“Let's get out of here,” I yelled at Sierra and Max. I know yelling was a stupid thing to do, because it would alert them where we were but at the same time, that was what I wanted. I ignored the ache in my hand and ran for Max's bathroom.

He had his hands to his ears, he was hunched and shaking a lot.

I just stared at him, bored. He shouldn't have gotten himself involved in all of these if he were too scared to see it through to the end.
