Derrick had accepted her as his mate and Luna when she turned 18th a month again but now he rejects her?

Hazel could feel the pains. She has done no wrong. During the one month they spent together, Derrick has been the best thing that had ever happened to her only for him to reject her?

Her wolf kept crying because they were just rejected brazenly.

Her eyes slowly glowed but she quickly shut her eyes to calm herself. His rejection shattered her heart into small pieces.

The door opened and Eva ran towards me, sobbing and slamming the door behind.

She startled and yelled.

“I heard what happened. That jerk. I can’t believe he has the guts to reject his mate. I’m really really sorry Hazel. I don’t know what happened to him. I don’t know why the sudden rejection. I’m sorry Hazel”

Eva said.

Hazel couldn’t help but sobbed more.

“Eva, I can’t stay here any longer. I am running from this place. I will only get hurt if I keep seeing him. I really have to go” She said amidst tears.

“Then I’m coming with you. You’re the only friend I have in this pack, Hazel. Screw the whole pack! I am not staying here without you” she said and Hazel eyes widened.

“What about your parents. What about your brother?. Your family is here, In this pack. Are you gonna abandoned them for my sake?” Hazel asked.

“I don’t care Hazel. I just wanna be with you. You’re my responsibility too. You’re my family. I promise your mom that I will take care of you. Let me follow you !” She said and Hazel nodded reluctantly.

Soon, she helped her in packing. Once they’ve finished packing, they sneak out going to the forest.

They saw a guard at the post, but was luck that he’s asleep.

They ran as fast as they could. Hazel was already panting and had to stopped.

“Eva, I’m almost out of breath. Please slow down”

Hazel muttered and Eva stopped running.

“How could you run so fast even when you haven’t shape shift?” Hazel asked amused. She wined and fell to the ground then sigh.

“You look tired. Stay here while I go get water. There’s a lake by the other end” She said pointing to a direction.

Hazel did nothing but to nod again.

While Hazel was trying to get comfortable under the huge tree, she smell some presence. She heard ruffling in the woods and once she take in their scent She don't need to be told to know they are rogue. They smell really horrible and always look almost dead and that's how the three in front of her look like right now.

“Who sent you. Why are you following me?” She asked and quickly shift into her wolf and get ready for attack.

Her wolf is a beautiful golden-white wolf called Hailey. Hazel could feel her getting ready to rip these rogue into shreds with her sharp teeth.

'It's been awhile since you let me fight,' Hailey says

'That's because you they haven’t been enemies but now we have one” Hazel replied back.

'Yeah, right. We have company that look like they will kill us any minute.'

'Later,' Hazel said and try to focus her attention at the threat at hand.

She’s not the best wolf at “white wolf pack” but she will never back down from a fight and as feisty as Hailey is, she won't either. There are three rogues circling her, the one by her right attacks first. He tries to grab jer shoulder with his teeth but she move away before he cans.

She thought she was getting the upper hand until she realize she just severed herself to the rogue by the left. He catches her left shoulder in its mouth while she try to use her claws to pry it away. She don't even have enough time to claw the Rogue on her shoulder when the one in the centre attacks her.

It captures her paw in his mouth and as its teeth pierces her flesh; a painful scream escapes her mouth. She use her teeth to sink into the neck of the rogue who has his teeth in her paw and fling him away. She is able to fling him into a tree close by and he loses consciousness, one down two to go or so Hazel thought. Suddenly more rogues appear from the woods. She have not even gotten this rogue to leave her shoulder, how is she going to fight all of them?

She can see her death already flashing before her eyes but she won't back down. She will fight till her last breath. She use her paw and teeth to remove the rogue from her shoulder.

He or she was there for a while and She can feel pain in her shoulder. She fight as many rogues as She can.

She thinks if she survive this she deserve to give herself an award. She feel like they have torn every part of her but she didn’t back down. She can't because if she do, they will eat me.

She’s about to attack another rogue when the most intoxicating scent drifts through her nose. It scents divine to me.

Hailey suddenly starts becoming distracted from the threat in front of us and focuses on the scent.

'How can you be focusing on that right now?' Hazel said but Hailey just ignores her and tries finding where the scent is coming from.

She didn’t get to move anywhere when two rogues put her down.

Her little conversation with Hailey left her distracted and it's going to get them killed. She try to pry them off but fail miserably because she’s already badly injured. She can feel herself slowly slipping away but she hold on and when it seems like all hope is gone, the scent suddenly becomes stronger. The largest wolf she have ever seen in my life appears before them.

He is the most beautiful wolf she have ever seen. He is as dark as the night sky. He growls and the ground beneath them shakes with how powerful he is. The rogues holding her quickly release her and run for their lives.

All of them actually run away.

She tru to get up on her paws but fail, she’s badly injured. He takes careful step towards her and Hailey starts dancing in her head.

'Mate!'

Before I am able to process the words that Hailey said, Hazel start to feel dizzy. The last thing she saw is the wolf changing back to human form.

“Derrick?” She muttered surprising, before the darkness takes her away.

The moment Derrick got into his office, he inhaled deeply. He wanted to go back to her and take back his words but what’s done is done.

He couldn’t take back his words.

“I don’t know why am hurt. I’m the one who did the rejection so why am I fucking hurt?” He thought.

“Is it because she cheated?” He mumbled and groaned at same time. His wolf is also crying and he wouldn’t talk to him because of his choice.

Her innocence face kept flashing in his mind every second and minutes. She’s all he could think of.

Mabelle entered his office and walked up to him.

“Derrick, I heard what happened. You did the right thing. She’s nothing but a fucking cheat!” She said. Derrick only smile at her. A smile that didn’t reach his eyes.

“I can’t believe she could dare cheats on the future Alpha. Yes! Indeed she’s a slut!” She muttered.

“Did you now agree with me?” She asked Derrick but he seems to be lost in his thoughts.

“Derrick?. Are you listening?”

“Uh, are you saying something?” He asked, and she frowned. Her eye brows furrowed, then narrowed her eyes.

“Are you still thinking about her?. She fucking cheated on you with another?”she scrolled. Damn.

“I don’t “ she said coldly. He didn’t say a word but walked out instead.

Mabelle shouted his name but he didn’t give a damn.

All he could think about was how his heart ache excruciatingly.

He bumped into Jude, his Beta.

“Beta, let’s cancel the meeting today. I don’t feel so good” he said then left quickly.

He didn’t know she could distract him and he wasn’t aware it hurts like hell. But why the hell did she cheats on him.

He had only met her a month ago and had promised to love her. Just her.

He has left Mabelle, the girl he brought, just for her only for her to cheat?

She fucking betrayed him and thats something he can’t tolerate.

Damn! Why can’t he get her out of his mind?

He groaned and shifted into his full wolf form, then ran towards the forest. All he wants was to be alone.

“Hazel Gregory, what did you do to me?.”

“She cheated on us Rick!” He spoke to his wolf but never got a replied. It’s obvious his wolf was still mad.

“Ugh, you’re kidding me!” He exclaimed frustratedly.

He sighed and stopped running. He was already too far from the “White wolf pack” his territory.

He saw a big rock and sat.

“I’m sorry….. “ he said to his wolf but he never replied. He’s still angry with him.

She’s also hurting. He could feel it. His heart was also crying in agony.

What he couldn’t understand was why she felt about his rejection. Did she love him that much yet she cheated?

Soon his Beta came running towards his direction.

“Alpha. Hazel and Eva had gone missing. It’s obvious they had left the pack. I had sent some wolves to go look for her……” Jude said and his heart beat increased.

Did she really leave?

Did his rejection cause her to leave or she had left with the one she cheated on him with.

“Stop them. I forbid anyone in searching for her. If that’s her decision, so be it!” He said.

“What about your sister Eva..?” He asked.

“She already made a choice”Hr muttered and Jude nodded.

Hazel wake up to the most excruciating pain all over her body. The first things her eyes see are white cells. A strong smell of disinfectant passes through her nose. She around me and she think she’s in a hospital. It would explain the horrible smell and why She’s wearing a hospital gown.

She can't believe she survived. She really thought she died out there that night. She wonder how she arrived at the hospital.

But she remembered she saw him. Derrick!

He had saved her from the rogues or was her eyes playing tricks on her.

She stared at her body and as expected, her wound was healed.

"Oh my! You’re awake Hazel, how are you feeling?" She heard Eva voice

"I am..." She tried to speak but find her throat a little sore.

"Have some water, you have been asleep for a while so your throat must be a bit sore," She says, handing her a glass of water.

"Thank you," She says once she’s done drowning the cup of water.

"Who are they?. Who are the people that attack you?” Eva asked.

"They’re rogues. I really don’t know who sent them. I haven’t offended anyone. I wondered who might be after my life” she says sadly.

“But Derrick saved me. I really saw his face before I passed out” Hazel said, Eva stared at her like she said something that shouldn’t be said.

”oh chipmunk. The rejection had hit you badly that you can’t stop thinking of him. He’s such a jerk. I know” Eva muttered.

“That’s not it. Derrick really saved me. I saw his face. Believe me Eva!” Hazel muttered.

“Oh, Yeah. I believe you. He rejected you and then comes save you. What an ironically story!” Eva muttered and Hazel sighed.

She was never gonnaa believe her.

“Where are we?” Hazel asked.

“We’re in the Dark Moon consent park. One of the the pack members had bumped into me when I was trying to revive you back to life. Seeing how badly you were injured, he brought you to their pack hospital. I guessed we’ll be staying here for now” She said and Hazel sigh again.

At least, this is far better than the white moon pack.

She’s gonna start her life again. She shut her eyes as she drifted back to sleep.
