"Oh stop twilight, you don't have to wake me up," I muffled under my fluffy sheets. I groaned again as I his my head with the pillow. Twilight's meowing didn't stop, neither did her licking.
"I'm up, I'm up," I sprang out of my sheets and faced the mirror. Any other day of school, it's gonna be exciting! I thought as I glanced at my well ironed and hanged uniform. School, my second home!!
"Alyssa, mom wants us downstairs in a minute," Alanna spoke as she barged in. "Just give me some time to brush my teeth," I yawned as I watched her nod.
"Don't take too long, mom might not be happy," she was off and I scoffed thinking about yesterday. What does she want to say now? I mentally face palmed and noted. I am been rude, now that is great! Note the sarcasm.
I groaned and stretched my sore and arching body before I walked back to my bed. I carried twilight in arms as I walked into the bathroom. "Let's brush our teeth first," I stroked her fur and she purred.
Do I need to tell you all the details...? No! So, I the next four minutes, we both had our teeth nicely cleaned. I was still in my pajamas and wasn't planning on taking a bath till I heard what my mother wanted to say.
I sprang down in a second, once I regained my balance I was met with the eyes of my family. I ignored it, simply greeted and sat down close to Alister.
This time around mom stood up with authority and looked at us.
"My children, I have something to confess," she spoke and sighed. Dad gave her an assuring nod with a smile.
"I never grew up in The Muller's House. They adopted me. I grew up in orphanages and on the streets."
"But I don't understand. Why lie to us, why..." Alanna cut in.
"Firstly, no one should interrupt me and secondly, I..."
"I'm the one who convinced her. Her parents didn't aren't really her parents to her. They didn't share any emotional memories, happiness and sadness with her. They came up to your mother one day and claimed the title, they didn't act for it. The Muller's family is her real family but if we are talking about blood it's different. Likely speaking, she didn't lie; she introduced you all to her real family."
After the speech, we watched mom sob into dad's shirt. That was... I don't know what to say! I feel guilty of the way I acted yesterday.
"I hope you forgive me," mom cried and I looked down, gazing at the carpet. I was ashamed to look at her.
"Yes we do. I'm happy you told us; it would have been worst if we found out from someone else," Alanna said and I sighed. At least, she knew from mom.
"I forgive you too mother, we have to put the past behind us and move on," Alister wisely spoke and I smiled. He is my brother!
"Alyssa?" I looked up and met the eyes of everyone again. "I can't stay mad at my mom forever!" I beamed and her lips twitched into a smile.
"Thank you," she wiped her tears.
We did our morning devotion happily.
"Now go get ready for school," dad chirped in and we scrambled to our rooms.
I rushed into the bathroom and made twilight take a bath, after it was my turn. I washed my hair with strawberry shampoo and in minutes I was done.
I was now neatly dress in my auburn and scarlet coloured uniform. I carefully patted my two messy buns. My breath pushed a strand of stubborn hair away and I smiled, liking the view. I grabbed my strawberry coloured bag. It's so cool that almost everything that I'm wearing is almost and kinda the same in colour. I so love my hair.
I dashed out of the room and headed to the living room. I passed the kitchen and caught a whiff of pancakes and I retraced my steps. I looked left and right, spotted nobody so I made my move. I smiled and tried to pick a pancake but I was smacked.
"Ouch! Mom!!" My hand flew to my mouth and I sucked on it. That was hot and she used it to flog my hand.
"No shopping." She placed her hand on her hip. "I wasn't snooping. I just wanted pancake," I whined.
"Your breakfast is on the table. I'm sure your brother and sister are there already. Now leave" she parted and I turned to go.
"Wait," and I stopped on my tracks and slowly faced. "Yea mom"
"Did you really mean what you said before, at the living room?" She asked with concern and I sighed.
"I do forgive you mom, but, we can't just go back to the way things were and forget what happened. I'm still trying to process it, even if it's not a big deal. I just feel betrayed that you lied," I explained and she nodded with glassy eyes.
"I'll make up for it," she sniffed. I smiled st her and walked out. I couldn't stand there and watch her cry, I would cry too. I made my way to the table and unconsciously dropped my back on the floor and sat down.
"And look who decided to grace us with her presence," Alanna muttered and I rolled my eyes and dug into my food.
"Have you seen the way mom has been acting these days. She's been too emotional, I think something's up," I stated as I chewed on my food.
"I thought that I was the only one who saw it really," Ali replied.
"Maybe we are just overreacting," Alanna rolled it off and I shrugged and faced my food.
When we were done, we said goodbye to our parents and hopped into the car. We greeted Tony our driver and he drove off.
.
"Thanks Tony," I responded as he opened the car door for us. We stepped out and bade him good bye.
We just arrived to our school and I breathed in. We walked through the halls and greeted a few acquaintances that passed by us.
We were on our normal routine, escorting each other to our lockers. It was Alanna's turn and we waited patiently beside her. She was the last to collect her books.
"Hey Trips," I mentally groaned when I felt the whole hallway go silent. Clara walked majestically towards us. Her hair swerving around. The hallway was silent because, well, she's the Queen's daughter and that's huge. No body parents here are even close to the status of the queen, I mean she's the queen. And like wise, the Queen is known to be like an aunt to me and everyone here know that. They were first reluctant to come closer to we but we made them understand that we weren't going to bite.
"She's so beautiful," Ali whispered but I heard him loud and clear and I was left dumbstruck. Oh no! Can this be real? My brother likes my best friend and my best friend like my brother. Oh Great!!!
"Let's get going to class shall we?" She asked, her hands filled with books. The hallway returned back to it's former state.
"Yea, are you having a difficult time carrying your books. I can help you!" Ali said and she smiled.
"It's fine. It's not too much. I'm fine with it. You already have your own to carry," she said as she swinging her body around. I just kept looking from my brother to my best friend.
"Um Clara," Ali called. "Yeah," she responded quickly.
"Where's our project!" Boom? "I totally forgot" she stopped ogling and she was now serious.
"How could you... Hah!" I didn't know what to say. "We can go find it before..." She was stopped abruptly as the bell rang, "the bell rings?" I glared at her and she smiled sheepishly and I heard Ali chuckle.
"Really? Is this seriously funny," I snarled at him. He forced back his smile with a cough.
"Alanna we are heading to class!" Alister turned. I didn't even notice that she was still with us. She smiled a little and responded. "No problem see you later,"
"Come on, we will just tell Miss Penelope that we forgot it," she suggested and I groaned.
"You know how that will end. We will surely get many Fails" I whined.
"At least we failed together," Ali shrugged and I glared at him. "Yea, he's right" they were all ogle eye on each other again and I rolled my eyes and walked away. To my class!
.
Commerce! My worst subject!
I sat at my usual seat at the back. I usually sit here when it's time for this subject. I'm not offering it but I am offering it. Ah! Its so complicated. If an exam turn up, I'll get an A-. I said I didn't like it, I didn't say that I don't listen.
Hot air fanned on my skin and I sighed. "Can you just leave me to sulk away my sadness," I muttered and she giggled.
"Come on, don't be like that." She beamed and I looked away.
"We have her class next, why shouldn't I act like this!" I explained. "Just cool down, Aly" Ali recommended and I rolled my eyes.
We continued talking and bickering about and we didn't notice the sudden silence.
"How good it is to be busy talking when class is going on," just by hearing that we froze and turned slowly and smiled.
"Hi mom!" Clara waved and the queen arched her eyebrows.
