Elsie observed that Madriod was acting strangely but she decided to let it slide. She was catching on to something but then it quickly left her grasp. If Madriod had said anything further, it would have given him away because her bracelet was only recognized by witches and she knew that Madriod was not a witch but she wasn't sure what he was.
