Luke examined the stone carefully before going on to put the stone back where he had found it.

"How stupid can these vampires get?" He spat out the words with disgust. "What if the witches had found this stone?" He asked himself and picked the stone up to confirm if he hadn't read the markings wrong. The stone was an indication that the vampires' coven was nearby, he knew that the vampires always marked the stones in case another vampire got lost but he also knew witches could decipher those markings even though they were designed in writings that only vampires could understand.
