Madriod led Elsie back to his house. As they approached the door, he hesitated, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous spark.
"Elsie, I have to warn you," he said, his voice low and mysterious. "My house is now haunted."
Elsie's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Oh, really?" she said, her voice dripping with skepticism.
Madriod nodded solemnly. "Yes, really. Strange noises, doors slamming shut, ghostly apparitions... it's a regular haunted mansion."
Elsie's smile grew wider. "I'm not afraid of ghosts, Madriod."
Madriod's eyes glinted with mischief. "Well, in that case... welcome back to my humble abode."
