Chapter 6 - Crowd

Chapter 6 - Crowd

Gallagher glanced at his peasant dress. He didn’t look like a farmer to look at so he messed up his hair. It’s up to the shoulder and sometimes he just ties it up.

He reached for his round hat and placed it on his head. He also adjusted the folding of the long -sleeved dress. His pants were a faded long -worn. No one can see that he is just a pretending farmer in this area. He would lose the excitement of what he would do when that happened.

Using the company bicycle, he went straight to the Village farm to start today. He did not feel drowsy. His body has also become accustomed to sleeping only occasionally. With so much to do in the organization and in the Silver Garden, sleep is one of the most impossible things to do.

"Hi, Gheron!"

"Good morning handsome!"

"Gheron, do you have a bread?"

He smiled sympathetically at the women who started teasing of him today. Even some of the farm staff who are Japanese are cute too. But he doesn't have the time now to hit them. If it's Marie, it's okay.

He first turned the coffee bending machine and dropped a coin. It's not his favorite coffee, but it's okay for someone like him who pretends to be.

Carrying a plastic cup with only steaming coffee, he went to his seat. He first greeted the Team Leader who frowned when looking at him. He understands this because what sensible employee will come in at this time.

He first looked for Marie's beautiful face but he could not find it. Gallagher thought it was on the other side of the Green House. He smiled at the thought that he could go to it before he started planting new fruits.

He was slowly drinking his coffee when he hit Marie who was talking with Fidel. He stared at the two and studied every movement of the girl's hand, body and facial reaction while talking to the man.

He wanted to laugh at the obtained observation. The girl was a natural hater, according to his calculations. Only now did he have the opportunity to stare at the woman in the distance and read her every move.

It's occasionally entertaining to read people's minds. Magnar believes that he is easily duped by women and that he falls quickly. Magnar sometimes treats him as a weak creature when it comes to ladies because he believes he is a fool when it comes to love. But he needs something from each of the ladies he approaches. It all depends on how much weight he needs from them to make his three pals think he's a wuss.

"How come you're so upset with me, Marie?"

He would have busted out laughing if Gallagher hadn't just stopped himself. He is far away, but because his hearing is naturally acute, he is able to hear them.

"I'll make a report on you being a sloth animal if I see you doing nothing else." Their Team Leader informed him of this. It regarded him as if he were about to pawn the devil.

"Please accept my apologies, sir."

"Return to work!" He yelled at him.

He nodded and giggled quietly to himself. It might also be entertaining to pretend to be a normal and poor citizen. He knows and recognizes who the real person is and who is not.

WHEN Marie watched Gheron getting lectured by their Japanese Team Leader, she simply rolled her eyes in the air. She shook her head and hurriedly turned away from Fidel.

She will later say that she will go to the city to withdraw the money given to her by Mrs. Ajinomoto. According to her sister, she desperately needs the money. Hopefully, their Team Leader will let her ride in one of the trucks on its way to Furano City.

She has lunch alone, as is her habit. She was eating sandwiches and jam in the Green House when she heard a voice behind her.

Her brow furrowed, and she didn't have to inquire who the man was who usually showed up, despite the fact that he was new and had a tendency to be late for work.

"Hello, Marie!"

She didn't say anything. She kept biting and biting on her sandwich. She couldn't even taste the food she was eating right now.

"Why are you eating alone here again? Where is Judith?"

She reached for the drink and immediately drank it all. She only ate half of the sandwich before losing her appetite.

"Are you not bored, Marie?"

She didn't stop biting and one of the reasons she can't keep up with her coworkers is that she doesn't have enough money to buy food. That's all she's doing: she's saving. She even saves her own food.

"Antopina, Marie Cris"

When the man mentioned her complete name, she was taken aback. She turned around and looked at it for quite some time. She deduces from the aura of its face why he has chosen to make her a visit today. It appears that Adam's forebears have discussed and making her their favorite food.

"How did you learn my name?" She inquired directly.

He gave her a compassionate grin, but she didn't reciprocate. She kept her gaze fixed on the man while she awaited his response. Everyone recognizes her as Marie. But the farmer in front of her was a newcomer, and he wanted to speak to her as if they had known each other for years.

"I friended you on Facebook. Let's face it, everyone knows your name is Marie Cris. You have a lovely name."

Her expression remained expressionless. She was anticipating everything it would say. It was only then that she realized his lip was cracked, as if someone had fought with him the night before.

"My name is Gal Vensson, and I'm on Facebook. I tried to contact you, but you simply ignored my messages. I suppose you're a man hater?"

She returned her gaze and took a mouthful of the remaining sandwich. She was the first to stand up and walk away. She will speak with their Team Leader, who will hopefully agree to her request.

"Marie!"

She simply ignored it by looking around. She will never longer glance at it anymore. She will think Gheron is the ground she walks on every day.

When she heard their Team Leader's remark about her request, Marie's shoulder sank; it didn't let her. She was irritated even more when Gheron laughed at her. She didn't insist. Maybe her siblings can wait a little longer.

She returned to the Green House and assisted her coworkers there. When she saw their Team Leader running in her direction.

"Ms. Antopina!"

"Sir?" She promptly rose to her feet. She may have protested to their superior about her request.

"You are free to leave."

"Sir?" She was taken aback.

"You heard what I said. You are welcome to go Furano City, but please ensure that you return on time. "

He said something that made her eyes light up. She knew their team leader was nice, and it wasn't simply because of his raised brow. But instead of cheering because it permitted her to travel to Furano City, she crumbled when she spotted the driver of the delivery truck that their Team Leader had brought to her.

"Hello, Marie!"

Her brows immediately met.

As she rode the truck to the city, Marie's face darkened. She avoided Gheron because of its attitude, but she was here and had been with him for an hour on the way to Furano.

"What are your plans for Furano City?" He had a thought while driving. For a brief moment, he cast a glance at her.

She remained silent. She was unconcerned with the man's presence. All she wanted was the ability to withdraw money and transfer it to her family in the province. Because of the rush, she couldn't even change her clothing. It makes no difference. Judith had previously mocked her about her terrible fashion sense. Aside from the fact that she has no say in how she dresses, she also has no idea how to dress herself. So it's astonishing that so many people want to court her despite the fact that she's not particularly attractive.

"I'm glad I'm the one who opted to drive now. Because one of the drivers was absent and claimed to be sick, the Team Leader put me here. I'm delighted I'm traveling to Furano with you. I had a pleasant trip."

She kept her gaze forward. She ignored Gheron, who continued to speak. She is uninterested in him. It's also been a long time since she fled the unpleasant occurrence with the man she trusted to love her. It might be exhausting to fall in love at times. So, if that's the case, she doesn't need love in her situation. She is content with her new existence. Work, family, family, and more work. That's where everything revolves around her. She recognized that her family was more important to her than she was to herself. So it's all right.

"Marie!"

She didn't show any emotion when she stared at the man. "Just make sure you know exactly what you are going to say to me."

"Sometimes, it's also necessary to think about yourself, rather than just thinking about others."

She returned her gaze, this time to the road they were on. She felt as if time had abruptly paused, and she wanted to rush to Furano and locate a local bank.

"Sometimes, Marie, they take you for granted when you're always available. They believe you'll always be there for them, so make time for yourself," he stated flatly.

Gheron's words astounded her. When she looked at him, it gave him a huge smile, and she couldn't help but look at it. She assessed what Gheron had said against how he had said it, whether it understood anything about her personality, and why he spoke as if he knew her. Are they close?

"That'll melt me, Marie. Stop staring at me," he said, but she remained unaffected. "Perhaps that's why you've suddenly fallen in love with me. I'm not quite ready yet. ”

"I don't talk to my fellow farmers," she said, returning her focus to the road.

When she stated it, he fell silent and took a deep breath slowly. She took a deep breath when she realized Gheron was going to be quiet and not say anything else when he asked again.

"What's the problem with those of us who are poor and simply farmers in other nations when our earnings are high?"

She did not respond. She reminded herself that Gheron was only a piece of ground she had stepped on and that she shouldn't pay attention to it.

"How come you're so upset with the poor and the farmer? Hmm?" He cast a peek at her. "I know, someone dared to cheat on you and made you cry, didn't they? So you assumed all men were the same; are you so afraid?"

"You're not going to stop?" She said to him, her face painted with irritation.

"Why?" She's not sure if it's a harmless question or if it's just bothering her.

"If you have nothing sensible to say and know nothing about my life, keep quiet. You don't know what life I'm in now. You don't know me, and I don't care about the nonsense you say against me. So if you don't want me to make your life hell right now while we're on the road, drive quietly there and don't talk to me like we've known each other for a long time because the truth is, you never knew me."

After she said that long line, he was silent on what she said, and she had no remorse. She's direct, and if she doesn't like something, she says so.

"But I'd like to talk to you, eh?" Gheron laughed.

Bullshit!

When Gheron said that, she wanted to swear out loud, and somehow her nose almost came out of smoke, so she closed her eyes and leaned back. She would force herself to sleep until they arrived in Furano City, and maybe Gheron would be quiet because when he saw her sleeping, he stopped disturbing her.

"It's fine if you don't want to talk to me right now. You just responded to my conversation tonight, huh? Also, please accept my Facebook friend request so that I may read your updates.”

She forced herself to calm down, knowing that killing Gheron with the deadly bluntness in her mind wouldn't help her. This is far more irritating than Fidel, and he appears to have no intention of influencing anything she says.

God! What's the deal with Furano City being so far away?

FINALLY, she arrived at the Furano Bank. She walked away from Gheron, telling him that she would figure out how to get back to the farm after withdrawing money. She couldn't keep up with his foul tongue. Whatever toxic and nasty comments she spews at Gheron are meaningless to him.

"Don't be stubborn, let me get you."

He went unnoticed by her. She simply walked into the bank. She still needs to withdraw money and transmit it to the Philippines. She finished fast because there were only a few customers inside the bank. She smiled because she had planned to return to the farm alone. But, her smile disappeared. Gheron waved at her. It smiled sympathetically at her as it stood next to the parked truck.

"Shall we go?" He has a devilish smile. Even with faded trousers and an outdated T-shirt, he maintains a handsome appearance. His long hair, which is tossed by the wind and covers half of his face, is not an impediment.

Don't worry. Keep your cool. She was pleading with herself.

"Marie, what else are you standing there for?" he groaned, not losing his sympathetic smile that he wanted to show everyone how handsome he was. "Would you like me to carry you?"

She also noted that some of the women here, whether Japanese or foreigners are staring at Gheron. Gheron's sex appeal is overflowing, even though he's simply dressed as a tattered peasant, but she's not interested. She took a different path. She immediately flagged down a taxi to take her to the Hokkaido farm. She will only pay dearly if she does not accompany Gheron on the entire trip if they have known each other for a long time in her life. But before she could get into a taxi, she was stopped by a hand on her arm.

"Gheron!" she almost yell, raising her voice in front of it. It was as though all of her rage had built up.

"I thoughtthat money is important to you?" Why are you taking a cab now? Is it because you despise my presence, or because you despise yourself for— "

"Shut up!" She drew her arm back, but kept a firm grip on him.

"Hmm?" he mused. "The truth, like a wild animal, is too powerful to be contained."

"What exactly are you saying?"

"Nothing," he grinned once again. "I'm just paraphrasing what comes out of your mouth."

She shook his hand to get a taxi, but she couldn't go any further because Gheron had already carried her up. He made her look like a newlywed couple conducting a prenuptial agreement in the middle of a crowd.
