Chapter 4 - Journey

Chapter 4 - Journey

When the message request appeared on Marie's messenger, she grimaced. Gal Vensson was the name written on it, and she looked at it. She shrugged and walked away. She doesn't waste time chit-chatting with strangers. They just completed conversing with her sister, so she'll send money right away on her day off.

"Maria..."

She remained silent. She was waiting to hear what Judith had to say next.

"Where are you going to go after your contract here in Japan? Is it still here, or America?" That was her introduction.

"Just go to sleep."

"However, I'd like to know where it is."

"To Mount Everest, I'll be selling ice cream."

"Seriously?"

She ignored her friend, shut off her phone, and tucked it under her pillow, intending to sleep and letting Judith chat until she's tired and wanted to sleep.

SHE was getting ready to go to the Green House the next day. She was tired, so she had to make a dash. She was just about to enter the Green House when Fidel blocked her way while holding a mug with instant coffee.

"Hello, Marie! This coffee is for you."

She simply looked at the young man's coffee.

"Marie! I'm bringing you coffee; accept it on my behalf, because I made it with love and honey."

Her brows furrowed in response to Fidel's words. She doesn't like this guy, and she doesn't feel any attraction to him. It's strange, but she feels more like siblings to him.

"You don't enjoy my nice and lovingly crafted coffee, like your brother?"

When she tried to pass it again, he blocked her and forced her to accept the cup of freshly brewed coffee.

"Please accept it, Marie!"

"If you call my name Fidel one more time, you can take a bath in the coffee you brewed yourself."

She sighed and thanked him for likewise ceasing to give coffee when all of a sudden there was silence and it appeared as if a coward had emerged from the Green House; she sighed and thanked him for ceasing to offer coffee.

She didn't have time to work yet, so she began roaming around and arranging plants. She would drink coffee and eat bread afterwards. When she sensed Fidel return and it was behind her when she was drinking coffee, she was taken aback.

How did she figure that out? She could smell the freshly brewed coffee that had pervaded his entire system.

She instantly whirled around, thinking it was Fidel, but she was mistaken. "Coffee?" This isn't Fidel at all. Gheron was the one who appeared in front of her and grinned at the toothpaste commercial. She was given a white mug, and the made coffee blazed from it, and she breathed the aroma.

"Are you sure you don't want it?"

She looked away from it and returned her attention to the strawberries. She'll come back next week to the other Green House, where more fruits have been planted.

"I believe you were born with the ability to withstand adversity." He is introduced to you.

She kept doing what she was doing. She paid no attention to the young man. She don't care about him doing nothing.

"It's early in the morning, Marie. There's still time for coffee."

She is unconcerned with her surroundings. She just kept going, one after the other, wherever she went. When her female coworkers entered at the same moment and approached Gheron immediately.

"Gheron, I'd like to take your coffee."

"Or your bread," the other one say.

They were giddy with delight at the sight of the young man.

"Yeah, sure ladies!"

She caught a glimpse of Gheron offering coffee to her coworkers out of the corner of her eye. They reached the mug, excited, and sipped the coffee gently.

The woman even smiled pleasantly while biting her lower lip. "Gheron, you're delectable."

"Really?" Gheron laughed.

"Yes, your coffee is fantastic..." They guffawed.

She simply shook her head and went about her business. They only left when the working hours began, and their Team Leader walked about looking for those who were not working or were being lazy.

She was exiting the Green House when Judith summoned her and drove her to the farm's other side. She went with a friend because she had also finished her task. Then Marienella accidently hit her, they were both holding a basket in which they were putting the collected fruits. It was a coworker from the staff house, and she didn't appreciate how it treated her.

"Gheron belongs to me, Marie. Keep it in your mind."

As she laughed to herself, it rapidly drifted away. After only a few days, here is how the man affected her coworkers.

He is all your, bitch.

"I think my Gheron likes you, Maria."

She just stared at Judith as if she was going insane.

"To tell you the truth, I've noticed that you're the one he usually follows. While you're ignoring his appeal—"

"Farmer." She was fast to react.

"Huh?"

"He's a farmer. Do you honestly believe, Judith, that I will like him? He's a peasant and a farmer just like us."

"Does that sound like a song, Maria? That song's words seem familiar to me. That's how impoverished people are, we're like a beak. Woooh ooh!" And Judith sang.

She sighed and took the first step away from Judith. Judith and her crazy personality.

"Wait a minute, hey!" It followed her around. "What makes you think you don't want someone like us? Aren't we also farmers? It's just that farmers like us earn a lot of money here. What does it matter if Gheron is a farmer like us? He performs a good job."

"Judith, you don't get it."

"Can you tell me what I'm missing? That your expectations are too high, and you're growing up without even a boyfriend? Or do you despise OFWs who prefer to work here? Which of the two do you prefer?"

She remained silent. It was pointless to speak with Judith, and even if she did, she would not understand her. She is unsure of the full rationale for her beliefs. She places a high value on money. That way, her family will see her genuine worth. Not only that, but she had another motive, which she still had the guts to reveal.

It was up to Judith to determine how she felt about her. She is aware of her own worth and will not allow anyone to care about her, particularly when it comes to her emotions. She is her own person, and she is the only one who can make decisions.

SMILING, Gallagher examined his old cellphone, which he could have donated to an antiquities museum. But, despite the fact that it appears to be outdated from the outside cover, he is actually using the most recent iPhone.

Even though he knew he wouldn't get a response, he tried to chat with Marie again.

Hi!

This is his first chat. He mentally counted before being interrupted by another message.

I'm sorry if I come across as creepy, but I'd like to be your friend.

There was no response. He shrugged and decided to use his laptop to enter the woman's information.

One of his hobbies is hacking. Yx, on the other hand, will be issued a punishment assignment for him if he uses this hacking on the woman again. He removed his wireless earphone from his pocket and inserted it into his ear. He began by making coffee and removing five cookies from the oven. She adores them so much that she can't go a day without eating some.

Gallagher sang before returning to his office table, one hand holding a cup of coffee. Later, he'll relax with the other farmers at the staff house.

He only goes to his private room to think and talk to Dark X. Mr. Yakoto gave him a private room, which is quite large. It's the size of two staff houses and is completely air conditioned. Fully equipped and conveniently located near the farm. He particularly enjoys his secret door.

"Do you believe Maria, my baby Gheron, has a girlfriend?"

This was the first time he heard it, and he recognized the tone of the voice. It was from Judith, a woman he knew. He waited for Marie to respond.

"What is it, Maria? Isn't your saliva becoming sour? You don't talk that much."

He slumped back on the swivel chair after being grabbed his chin. His attention was drawn to the laptop screen, where he could only see the kesame through the front camera.

"Mary!"

When Judith's face showed on the laptop screen, he almost fainted. He took a look at the camera before picking up Marie's phone. 'Don't laugh at the woman with the clay mask', he told himself.

"Perhaps you should change your phone, Maria? Traders have been seeking for it for ten years, ah. With the addition of an antenna, your cellphone can be converted into a satellite.” Judith laugh.

"Give me my phone!" Marie took her phone away from Judith.

When Gheron observed Marie's expression, he smiled. Her expression is solemn, and there is no smile directed at the front camera.

He took a sip of the coffee he had set on the table and proceeded to drink it. Hmm, finest coffee ever. While drinking coffee freely, he made a goofy smile in his mind. He was certain that the coffee he was consuming would put him to sleep.

"Please respond to my query. Deosa Gheron, have a girlfriend? ”

"How about you ask that person?"

"Eh, you're the one who can read, eh?"

"He doesn't have a girlfriend but he has a lot of girlfriendsss, and if you fall for him, you'll be one of them."

Woah! He flexed his muscles and spilt his coffee. He has no plans to touch her friend Judith. He went to Japan's Hokkaido to relax, not to be a womanizer. He isn't thinking about it right now. He smiled.

Marie, you're weird to the women I've met. He laughed softly, remembering how they were always fighting Magnar over women in the past. He took a cookie and eat it.

"Would you say yes if Gheron courted you, Maria?"

He waited for a response. He put down the cookies. He should be aware of Marie's response.

"I don't do it with other farmers, Judith. Money is vital to me, and I don't need individuals like that. Farmers. Both of us will suffer. ”

"You're joking, right?"

"I'm simply being honest with you, Judith. I'm going to bed."

Gallagher promptly shut off the laptop and stared at the screen for a long time, concluding that her phone was already under the pillow.

He laughed out loud a few moments later because he didn't expect Marie to look at him that way. Oh goodness heaven! It doesn't mean he wants it, it means he wants the woman to be with him for life right away and they will form a family right away.

With the nature of his job and at the age of 33, he still doesn't have a serious one, nor does he intend to get one. It was important to him to be a member of Dark X and a member of the Constellation.

His family was wealthy, and he is also the Chef of Silver Garden, a 5-star dining restaurant with the lowest price listed on the menu of 315 USD, which he owns and has many branches around the world. For the time being, he plans to open new branches here in Hokkaido Japan.

Many people work for him, and no one knows he owns the Silver Garden; introduce him to his employees; he is a simple part-timer who only comes in on occasion.

Let's see, Marie. Let's see... I'm just a poor farmer. Hmm.

His hologram watch rang a few moments later, and he emerged. Oh fuck! Good, and he's in his private room.

"There is an urgent meeting."

“What”

"Yx requires your assistance."

"I'm fucking having fun, guy; my life in Hokkaido is tranquil. spare me for a change."

"Meeting. Dark X quarter. 8 A.M sharp. See you in hell," he said, laughing.

What the hell?

He was shocked when the person he was speaking with disappeared, and he shook as he reached for the cookies and ate them before deciding to return to the Philippines. There was an urgent meeting, and he needed to be there if he didn't want his vacation to be only three days.

"Mr. Yakoto, I need to return to the Philippines right now," he said as he hung up the phone.

He put on his pants and took off his coat, carrying only his passport, wallet, and phone, and then left that private room. Outside, his expensive car was waiting for him, and Mr. Yakoto was in the driver's seat, homely and obviously going to sleep.

"Mr. Yakoto, good evening."

"Good evening, Mr. Winfrith, and here is the key."

"Thank you," he said as he took the key; no one knows her real name, and Gheron Winfrith is one of his aliases.

"Have a safe journey, sir."

He no longer responded, instead getting into his car and driving to the airport.
