Claire and Dick entered work as usual before eight o clock. Greeting their colleagues and their boss they made their way to the lockers to leave their belongings. Claire could not help but think that her mother had given Dick a good scolding for him to be so calm after last night. The corners of her mouth twitched in a smile as she pictured her mother ranting over the phone.

Dick left his lunch bag and smiled to himself as he thought about his conversation with Mrs Jessica Bale, his soon to be mother-in-law. He had really layed out the foundation to get Claire in his grasp without her father knowing a thing. They both get what they want out of the situation. It's a win win.

But Dick also needed to get the 30 000 rands worth of cash to give her by Saturday. He knew he needed to get it by hook or by crook. Dick decided to take a loan against his name.

Lunch time approached and Claire picked up her bag and signaled Dick to join her for lunch. Dick shook his head vigorously in a reply stating he did not want to go to lunch with her. " I have something to do today which is quite urgent", Dick said as he walked out work and hollered for a taxi. He left a confused Claire standing outside the door.

They had done everything together from the time They were together. Her heart sank as she walked over to the bench to sit all alone and eat her lunch. She wondered to herself, " what could be so important that he would not include me?"

Her mind began to over think, "Could Dick be cheating?, he has done it before. Although I don't have the proof I know what I have heard and felt in my gut".

Dick goes to the Atrium shopping mall. There were four banks on different floors. He scanned the bank names and read aloud, " PreBank, KayBank, AviBank and AdiBank".

He thought carefully which one he should choose. Being as lazy as he always is, he chose the one closest to him.

He knew he had forty five minutes left of his lunch break and he needed to be quick. That left him with half an hour to get things approved and be back at work on time or he had serious explaining to do. The last thing he needed was for his soon to be wife, questioning him. He did not get caught for his numerous affairs since dating her, he did not need her to start doubting him now.

AdiBank was quiet and empty, he entered, taking a slip and approached a consultant. He applied for a loan and within minutes he received a response.

" I am sorry Mr Weedle, you do not qualify for a loan", spoke the consultant softly.

" I am sure you can tweek the system", Dick spoke flirtatiously.

" I am really sorry sir", the consultant spoke sternly rolling her eyes.

Dick slid of the chair and left quietly. He had felts so embarrassed, he kept his head down.

He walked as fast as he could to the next two banks where he was declined as well. The last bank was KayBank. It was his only chance. He looked at the time and he has twenty minutes left. " This last bank better be worth the long walk. I need this loan",he mumbled to himself in anger under his breathe, almost jogging to the entrance.

He approached the female consultant and gave her a wide smile, somewhat flirtatious and devilish. She returned his smile with a wink.

" I have tweeked the numbers for you Mr Weedle", she said softly, making sure no one near them could hear her.

"Call me Dick", he smiled and spoke seductively.

The consultant was drawn in by his charm, "Well, Dick, you have been approved. Congratulations. You will have thirty thousand Rands in your account by the end of the day".

She took the slip and turned it over, writing her number in a heart and slid it across the table to him.

He smiled as he accepted and put the slip in his pocket.

"Ten minutes left", Dick moaned. He was drawn to the consultant. She was going on lunch and he wanted to return the favour. He pulled out his cellphone and dialed their boss," Hello, I am so sorry. I went on lunch. My mom is sick. I stopped to get her medication. I will be a bit late coming back to work".

"His boss had fallen for his lies", he smirked as he followed Genie, the consultant to her car in the underground parking.

It was dark and the parking lot was full of empty cars. Genie had parked at the corner where very few people could see. It was only it you strained the human eye, you would see her black mini Cooper. He was horny from last night, since Claire was unavailable.
