Friday arrived, and I got ready for the engagement party. I left and went to Pat and Britt’s house. I entered the home, seeing many people. Damn, this family is enormous.

I said hello to a few people before heading to the kitchen. I found a cup and poured a drink.

“Hey, hermit,” Presley said in my ear.

I turned my head and gave Presley a look. He chuckled.

“I’m not a hermit. I’ve been busy with the house and work.”

“Have you tried to kill any family members lately?” Presley teased.

“No, I’ve been learning how to do home repairs myself.” I rolled my eyes....
