After Matthew finished work, we packed two bags and put them in the car. Matthew pulled out of the driveway, and we left for the cabin. We stopped before entering the expressway to get snacks.

Matthew grabbed beverages and waited at the checkout. I grabbed the snacks. He watched as I carried an armful to the counter and released everything.

“What are you doing?” Matthew asked me.

“Getting snacks.” I waved my finger at the junk food.

“For whom? An army?”

“We must act like kids loose in the store with $100.”
