Alice's point of view.

I feel like my world is shattered, my grandmother just passed away, she is the most important person in my life, she has raised me and taken care of me with full of love and much affection since I'm baby.

My mother Sarah gave birth to me when she just 16 dropped out of school, without a job and I don't even know who my father is. My mom always said if I'm a great mistake from her past.

She was always rude to me, even though I never disturbed her or made a mistake with her, I kept trying to steal her heart with all the sacrifices I gave when I was a child, but she ended left me with my grandma since I'm 4 years old.

Now everybody knows her as the most beautiful, famous, and successful supermodel, she looks arrogant and doesn't want to admit I'm her daughter, she also doesn't want to call her my mom.

Because my mom never gives me any love, attention, or affection just like the other kids, this makes me depressed, but I keep trying and thinking positively to get through all of this.

And after my grandmother died, I just turned 18 and my mom just called me, and she said she wanted to take me somewhere and meet someone important in her life, so I obey her.

I feel shocked because she never does this before, she never contacts me, meet, or ask about my condition, but suddenly, she invited me, and this makes me excited.

I saw this as a chance to rekindle our relationship and had a normal relationship like mom and daughter because this is the first time for me that my mom is being so kind to me.

I continued to follow my mom until we arrived at the mansion which was very spacious and luxurious, it was so wonderful, and I had never seen such a beautiful place like this before.

“Alice, I will introduce you to my boyfriend, but don't call me mom or anything like usual!” My mom pointed her finger at me.

I nodded my head and feels so heartbroken.

I thought for sure that my mother would meet an old man who was fat, wrinkled, and unattractive because there was no way a young man could have the wealth to own a beautiful mansion as well as several luxury cars parked here.

As soon as I entered this astonishing mansion, I saw my mother Sarah immediately kissing a young man, he looks younger than my mom.

He looks so handsome, charming and very magnetic with his brown hair, green eyes and his athletic build body, so tall and muscular, he looks fit like the Greek god and so perfect as a human being.

“Honey, this is Alice.”

“Oh yeah, it's a pleasure to meet you, Alice, I'm Raphael.”

I nod and kept staring into many astonishing things in this mansion.

I see Raphael kept staring at me.

“So Sarah, have you prepared and told her if she will stay here?”

“W-what? Live here? With us?” My mom looks shocked.

“Exactly at this mansion, I'm ready for that, will you stay with her Alice?”

“No baby, she has to finish her undergraduate study because she had the scholarship, and she didn't feel good and uncomfortable staying in this place, she used to live in our old place, and it would interrupt our moment as newlyweds.”

“Sarah, I'm not speaking with you! But I'm asking her!” Raphael raised his deep voice and makes my mother afraid.

Raphael kept staring at me, but my mom kept giving me the sign that I must stay away from her, I can't do anything, but I must obey her if she wants it to help her.

“No, Sarah is true, I must live in my old place because I had many things undone there and finish my study.”

“Okay, you can forget about all that Alice, from now on, you can stay at my place, with my connections and my strength I can put you in the best college and pay all your tuition fees until you graduate, so I want you to stay here.”

I was very surprised to hear Rafael's statement, my mom felt the same as me, but I could see anger and frustration in her eyes.

“Honey, are you sure about it? Isn't that too much trouble for you?”

“Yes I'm sure about it, and it's not a hassle at all for me, and now you can see the full range of facilities in this mansion, and I'll take you.”

“Okay, but can I go to the library to read a book?”

“Yes, sure, I will take you to the library in my mansion.” Raphael smiles and nodded, he looks even more handsome.

“Oh Alice, there was much great entertainment in this place, and you just want to read books? That's so boring.”

My mom laughs and smirks at me, she looks like she's looking down on me.

“That's okay Alice, I know you're a smart woman with high-quality time to spend your leisure time, here come and follow me.”

I followed Rafael, and he occasionally looked at me, and he seemed to want to talk to me.

“Why don't you call Sarah your mom?”

“Because that's what she wants since a long time ago she never considered me as her daughter, she left me with my grandma who raised me, and she just passed away.”

“I'm so sorry that's happened to you, Alice.”

Then I arrived at the luxurious library in Rafael's mansion, there are so many important and rare books that I need.

I kept reading and studying all there was until I felt exhausted and sleepy.

Without feeling, I fell asleep, and I was surprised when I woke up, but a strange thing happened, I felt warm on my lips, like someone had just kissed me.

But I kept looking around me, I didn't see anyone in the library, this was very strange.

Everything seemed like a dream to me, but I seemed to hear a man whisper, “Alice, you're mine forever.”

It was very disturbing and overthinking, it seems I have to leave this mansion, I also don't mean to disturb my mom and make her hate me.

I immediately brought my suitcase, packed all my things and got ready to go.

But I was very surprised when I saw Rafael waiting for me near the library door.

“W-what are you doing here?”

“I should be the one asking you all that, where do you want to go?”

“I'm so sorry sir, but I think I must go, I have to go back and finish plenty of things at my old place.”

I just walked slowly away from Rafael, but he suddenly grabbed my hands and stopped my path.

He continued to look me in the eye seriously, and I was able to see his brown eyes which were very sharp like an eagle and continued to take me with him.

“No, you can't leave this place, you have to stay in this mansion!”

“I'm so sorry.” I nod my head, I saw Raphael was very emotional and still forced me to stay with him.

Then I immediately prepared to tidy up my things in the room that had been provided by Raphael for me.
