The day went on smoothly, but I know in my heart that Sofia was waiting for me in the parking lot. I should have known she wouldn’t leave quietly. Someone like Sofia never accepts defeat, not even temporary ones. She lingers, she plots, she escalates. And tonight, she chose escalation. Her car never left the parking lot, so I was told.
